29th September 2007 SARA Launch Meeting at Fairlie Moor Site
Dear Rocketeers near and far.
The next Scottish Aeronautics & Rocketry Association (SARA) rocket
flying meeting will be held on Saturday 29th September 2007, from 1pm
to 7pm (13.00Hrs to 19.00Hrs BST), at our Fairlie Moor Site in North
Ayrshire, Scotland. Please go to http://sara.rocketry.org.uk for
further details, including directions to the Site and the arrangements
for its conduct. Since these details were posted on the SARA web last
Friday evening, a hybrid ground test firing at the Sept 29th event has
been confirmed. This means that there will be three Cells or Firing
Areas - one for Model Rocket launches, on for High Power launches, and
one for Hybrid ground tests.
A CAA NOTAM will apply for this event, with a 15,000 Feet (4,572
Metres) Above Ground Level Ceiling.
All will be welcome. However, due to the current Foot & Mouth
situation I regret to have to say that no-one from the Surrey area or
who has recently travelled through or in the county of Surrey should
come to this launch event. I have to ask this as the land that we
operate on at the Fairlie Moor Site is live stock farm land.
I look forward to seeing all who come to the 29th September SARA
rocket flying meeting. In the meantime, I hope that all other launch
events in the offing are successful, and enjoyed by all involved.
Yours ever,
John Bonsor, SARA Co-ordinator.
