Get well soon David Hart
Not sure if anyone has mentioned it yet in the other IRW threads, but
at the end of the "Cricket Death Match" after the IRW BBQ, David Hart
sustained a rather nasty broken leg.

David, if you read this, I'm sure your fellow fliers will join me in
wishing you best wishes and a speedy recovery.

Ouch! That's the one thing that really worries me when I'm walking
along the ruts in the crops or trying to get across streams etc. when
recovering rockets.

Not sure, but our onsite medical team suggested he may be in hospital
for a week or so before he could be released ;(

Get well soon Dave.

You well be correct. Call it what you will, it was a real man's game.
And a boy's game. And a girl's game too.

"My name is Maximus Damianicus Hallidius, commander of the Armies of
the North, General of the Gin Palace, loyal servant to the true

Marcel had a very nasty experience at IRW on Farlie Moor.. He was
recovering his rocket on his own in a boggy area and fell up to his
neck in to a bog. Completely dissapeared from view. Couldnt drag
himself out. No one was within range to hear his cries for help.
Fortunately someone spotted he was there one minute and gone the next
and people went to his aid. He also managed to drag himself out. He
was very shaken by the episode.

Moral is dont recover rockets on your own.

Best wishes, David. Do come again, it wasn't personal.
Perhaps if anyone has any news, especially AstroScot or Mike 8, they could
post it here.

That is a very thin rob, I hope he doesn't mind being used in this way.

Seriously though, I had a similar thing happen at UKRA a few years ago. I
was told to walk on it for two weeks until another doctor dignosed a broken
ankle and told me under no circumstances put any wieght on it until it was
in plaster.

Get well soon.

Not that I want to belittle your injury in any way Rod, but if you
walked on it at all, it wasn't even nearly the same as David's break.
:(

Re: Get well soon David Hart
Thanks for all the good wishes.
I was discharged from the hospital on Friday and I'm now back home.
I've only just re-established internet access.
It was a bad break and I now have a length of expensive launch rod inside my
leg.
My leg is not in plaster, but I cannot put any weight on it for 6 weeks.
Thanks for the book, and the messages everyone wrote.
I will be putting my pictures & videos on my website this week
so people can download any they want.
