Appeal for Video and Photos for Stumpy
Hi All

As always, we never got any photos or video of it for the Rocket Store
website. If there is anyone out there that has any photos or video
that I can use on the Rocket Store website it would be great.

Also we are trying to find any photos or video that you would allow TV
Meridian to use in a piece they are doing on the rocket.

Thanks

Richard

I have lots of prep photos from the hut and up on the moors that you are
welcome to have; will try and sort them online somewhere this afternoon -
unless you have a BIG pipe and can receive many 4mb images by email..?

Dear Richard.

On the last Monday afternoon of IRW 2007 Donald Fisher, the local chap
who took photos of the Thursday and Friday rocket launches at the
Fairlie Moor Site, came to Kelburn and gave me a CD with his pictures
of the Corpulent Stump launch and flight. I am at Radio City in
Kilbirnie right now - had to come over to Kilbirnie for an appointment
this morning - but unfortunately I do not have the Sunday photo disc
with me. However, as I am still camped at Kelburn I will be able to
go into Largs on Wednesday, to the GoGo Radio Centre and use the
internet facilities there to send you some pictures. In fact I will
try to get back to Kelburn this afternoon, after I've finished up with
what I have to do here, and get into Largs to send the pictures to you
today. The GoGo Radio Centre closes at 6pm.

As regards video for Meridian TV to use, when Lucy phoned me form
there at just after 9am today she asked who had film footage of the
launch and I advised her that Sky TV News had been at the launch. I
tried to keep up running notes of all the media people who phoned me
during the IRW but can't find the name of the Sky TV person who phoned
me - I believe she was the same person who came with the film crew to
report to camera and interview yourself. My phone kept cutting out in
the call with Lucy at Meridian, so I wasn't able to tell her to get in
touch with Sky News in Edinburgh, which is where they came from on
Sunday. Astonishingly, I had just finished the last sentence here
when Lucy phoned me again from Meridian TV, and this time my phone did
not cut out. She has been on the Sky TV but they want thousands of
Pounds for their footage, so Lucy is hoping to get non-commercial
footage. There were people video recording the events up the Car Park
at the Fairlie Moor Site, and some of them were IRW people, but I
don't remember who they were, and also their view of events was a mile
back from the launch pad. However, maybe one of them will respond to
your posting asking for video. After speaking with Lucy just now I am
going to make a real effort to get to Largs this afternoon to send
them, and you some pictures. I now have Lucy's e-mail address at
Meridian TV.

So will close now, and get on.

John Bonsor.

This was posted to my UKRocketry email about 5 minutes ago. So someone out
there could make a couple of quid for their images/video

Hello again, Richard.

There must be something wrong with my brain today, as I am not
thinking efficiently. Instead waiting until I can get to Largs I have
phoned Donald Fisher at work, and asked if he would be willing to send
his best shots from Sunday to Lucy at Meridian TV. Donald is in his
office at IBM in Greenock today , but wasn't at his phone to answer
it. I gave LUcy's anf your own e-mail addresses in the message that I
left, asking Donald to send pictures to both of you. In case this
doesn't happen, I will send some pictures from the Kleburn office,
using their internet connection, if they will let me.

I have just phoned Lucy at Meridian TV to let her know about my call/
request for pictures to Donald.

Richard

I have a low-res 20 sec 7 MB video if you're still looking.
Sorry for the late response but I was out of action all week.
