UKRA 2007/BK Flamer
I would just like to say thanks to all who turned out this weekend and
braved some of the worst weather that we can remember for one of our Flamer
events and celebrated on one of the best Saturdays as well, despite the
winds early on. Those who attended had to put up with a rather wet start on
the Friday night, a fantastic day on Saturday with some awesome flights (and
one or two awful ones!), and enough said about today! We prayed to the
rocket gods, the weather gods, and many more besides, but all to no avail.
Today has to be declared a wash out. Thanks to all who helped to break down
the site and clear away.

I haven't got the stats for the flying because many took away their flight
reg forms, but if folks can email me with the total motor usage I can make a
start. Considering the number of people away at other events, LDRS,etc., we
still had a good turn out and if the weather had been totally on our side -
who knows?

Highlights? For me it has to be Sean's last flight on Saturday, on a K,
drogue-less, dual recovery, putting out three red-white-and-blue chutes and
landing 100m from the pad. I'd love to know the altitude, Sean! Out of
this world!

Once again - thanks for coming and look forward to doing it again - next
year?

Thanks Dave and everyone at Black Knights for hosting UKRA 07, aside
from the rain and a few crazy bullocks(thats another story!) it was a
fantastic weekend... As usual we had a great time flying rockets and
catching up with everyone, thanks again.
