Not rocketry related (so crucify me ;) ), but thought a few folks on
here might be interested. I've spent a long time editing, cropping/
resizing the lot too!

:) No fakery whatsoever, I was rather pleased with that one. The RAF
seemed to enjoy consuming large quantities of petrol/diesel in an
entirely wasteful fashion during that demo, it was awesome. We could
feel the radiated heat from the big explosion across the airfield.
I suspect Typhoon may have used the odd gallon or two of kerosense, as
the pilot seemed rather enthralled with the afterburners ;)

Reference was to the Tornado F2's radar (or lack thereof) which was
replaced by a large lump of Blue Circle's finest until such time as it
could be delivered. And yes, I do know that the pic is an F3 as the F2s
were retired some time ago.

:) No fakery whatsoever, I was rather pleased with that one. The RAF
seemed to enjoy consuming large quantities of petrol/diesel in an
entirely wasteful fashion during that demo, it was awesome. We could
feel the radiated heat from the big explosion across the airfield.
I suspect Typhoon may have used the odd gallon or two of kerosense, as
the pilot seemed rather enthralled with the afterburners ;)

replaced by a large lump of Blue Circle's finest until such time as it

:) No fakery whatsoever, I was rather pleased with that one. The RAF
seemed to enjoy consuming large quantities of petrol/diesel in an
entirely wasteful fashion during that demo, it was awesome. We could
feel the radiated heat from the big explosion across the airfield.
I suspect Typhoon may have used the odd gallon or two of kerosense, as
the pilot seemed rather enthralled with the afterburners ;)
