Hello I am Peter, and my wife gave me a Starter Kit for Christmas, so I
am looking to start flying and finding out more about this hobby and
meeting other people.

Looked for a local club which appears to be the Blackknights, so sent
an email asking a few questions, looked at UKRA/BMFA as it appears that
I need insurance so will accept advice from people which one is best
for a starter.

So the main thing now is what is the best material for reading (ie a
starters guide to rocketry) so I can understand it all a bit more
before I take the steps to "build my own"
