Hi - hopeless none technical type here looking for your expertise.

Living in US at moment but returning to UK soon.  Appliances, namely
juicers, cheap here (half price!)  Am considering buying one that's
wired for Europe at 220volts.  Is this going to work in the UK with the
whole varying 230 volts that's really 240 or will I ned some kind of
transformer?  Also, if I do use it should I be using a surge protector
or something in case of even higher fluctuations?  Thanks in advance
for your help.
