LG LCD looses freeview settings
Hi

A few weeks ago my mum got an LG LCD DVB-T TV, a 19LS4D I think.

It set up fine, but since then it has lost its settings a couple of
times, needing a re-tune.

Has anyone else come across this problem?

There seems to be a lot of confusion between the words 'lose' and
'loose'. I assume what has happened here is that the settings have
been lost rather than loosened.

Re: LG LCD looses freeview settings
Erm, some systems have a kind of factory reset by doing something unlikely
on the remote as you turn on the tv. Just wondered if the customer may
inadvertantly be doing something like this with the current advice about
turning off at the socket to save the planet.

Looks like he uses the letters a-z like the rest of us. ALLTHOUGH his
granma could be in need of correction (and NO I'm not offering).

Sometimes there might be a 'save' method in a menu, that you may have
skipped.

If not that then ...

Dodgy mains connections? flickering lights on the same circuit? Next
door neighbour spending extra time with an Arc welder and a hopeless car
body?

Would be very worthwhile to get in touch with the retailer and make them
aware of the problem. Even if you are the only one on the planet with
the problem, it is a fault - and should be sorted out.

In some cases, if it is a common fault, then a superhero with a magic
box of tricks (or a laptop) will darken your mum's door - trot across
her carpet, flash the TV and vanish to the next job. I've seen a few of
these guys sent out by major retailers ... an interesting job flashing
at customers premises?
