I cleaned my ermote control button :O|
I finally managed to get the bugger apart
(found a secret screw) and just cleaned the offending button (contact area
on the circuit board) with a bit of spit and a cloth.

It works a treat now, I used to have to press it really hard
and hold it down for a long time before it would work.

Of course it just happened to be the most pressed button,
the 'exit function' button. I wish I had done that a long time
ago, I was thinking about buying a new reomote at one point.
Athough it would probably have been cheaper to buy a new set top box.

This post has the air of oriental poetry. The final line adds a touch of
pholosophic pathos that is just right.

I like the 'ermote' control. It has such a lovely 'ring' to it shall use it
always. "Hey, Linda, chuck over the ermote."
