Top-up TV
Had a call from a persistent salesman pitching top-up tv for £9.00 per month
and I would get all my Sky channels included in this price. I have never
looked into topup tv, so decided to take a look at their website. The site
promotes more about the box than the actual channel content.
There is no definative channel listing as to what you would receive. Anyone
here got topup tv and can advise if you get Sky sports 1,2 & 3 and the Sky
movie channels.

TIA

Topup carry NO Sky premium channels. The salesman was deliberately
misleading you. By using the words "all your Sky channels included in this
price" he would claim that he was referring to the DTT Freeview channels
i.e. Sky News, Sky Sports News and Sky Three.

he's lying.
with topup tv you get a box that does freeview that also records a selection
of shows that will have aired on satellite overnight which you can then
watch when you choose.
whether the recorded shows will be the ones that you wanted is anyone's
guess.
you certainly dont get any sky sports or movies channels.

Re: Top-up TV
I cannot really see the point in top up tv. From my perspective its just
being aimed at the unknowledgeble public and the more they keep them in the
dark the better.
It will go belly up very soon now I fancy.

i've never seen the point either - i can't believe they have many
subscribers - the choice seems very poor and their movie channel appears to
show stuff that would be too old even for your local video store clearance
bin.
