Somebody Get Some Ice!
Someone get some ice! How many times have you heard this during a
sporting event? Contact injuries are believed to be the leading cause
of athletes needing first aid, however many teams are not prepared
with an appropriate kit.
Experience has found that few team coaches and managers take on the
responsibility of providing a first aid kit for their athletes. The
process of obtaining first aid, at best, is inconsistent and leads to
the purchase of a first aid kit that is not specialized for sports. An
alternative is the team coach or manager relying on a facility first
aid kit being available (concession stand, venue, etc.) for their use.
Unfortunately, the concession stand kit is not available during a
team's practice.
With that in mind, Safety Seekers.net, an authorized distributor for
Certified Safety Manufacturing, has developed two specialized Sports
First Aid Kits containing items such as the Certi-Cool cold pack and
the QR Blood Stop Powder.
Both kits are in a durable, nylon, compact red case that is clearly
marked and can be carried in the equipment bag or can be attached to
the bag's shoulder strap. No more searching for the needed first aid
items when the entire kit can be easily located in one place. The
ability to have a kit ready adds peace of mind to the athlete, the
coaching staff, and the parents.
The Sports First Aid Kits allow for an affordable first aid kit to be
available for each team to use. We propose that the cost of a kit be
combined with the usual costs of the athlete participating in the
league. Divided evenly among the athletes, the cost of the kit is
marginal. The kit becomes property of the team. Please feel free to
contact me with any questions or if you would like further
information.
