On Saturday night the Flames returned to league play, and headed to
Swindon hoping to hold their lead at the top of the EPL table, but a
3-2 overtime loss to the Wildcats, combined with Sheffield and
Bracknell wins creates a 3 way log jam at the table top.  The Flames
opened the scoring at 2:02 when Rick Plant picked up a shorthanded
strike.  Just over a minute later the Wildcats evened the score
through Marek Hornak.  The Flames regained the lead at 10:35, and
carried the 2-1 edge into the middle period.  Just before the midway
point in the game the home side knotted the score at 2 each when Joel
Petkoff beat Joe Wakins in the Flames goal, but then the clubs played
more than 29 minutes of scoreless hockey, forcing overtime to settle
the 2-2 tie.  With exactly 1 minute remaining in the extra session,
Juraj Rusic ended  the game when he found the goal to give the
Wildcats the win and an extra league table point.
