After a home victory over the Solihull Barons on Boxing Day, the
Flames paid a return visit to Hobs Moat to take on the Barons once
again, and delivered a similar result, collecting a 6-2 win to join
the Sheffield Scimitars at the top of the EPL league standings.  The
Flames wasted little time in securing a lead when Chris Wiggins netted
at the 11 second mark.  Milos Melicherik scored shorthanded at 4:01 to
extend the lead to a pair of goals.  At 7:41 Rick Plant made it 3-0,
but Neil Adams replied for the Barons at 12:22 to pull the score back
to 3-1 at the first break.  The Flames restored a 3 goal cushion at
26:36 through Stuart Potts, but before the middle session timed out,
Adams netted again for the Barons to make it 4-2 with 20 minutes to
play.  In the final stanza, the Flames scored a pair of unanswered
goals in the final 10 minutes, with Rick Skene and Andrew Hemmings
doing the damage, to solidify the 6-2 Flames win.
