Journey On :-))
http://www.ananova.com/news/story/sm_2873980.html
A racehorse has been renamed in Australia after officials realised it had an
obscene name.
Aydee Fic developed a cult following due to his name which in Arabic means:
'F*** you', reports the Courier Mail.
Punters, mostly of Lebanese background, cheered and laughed as the
two-year-old won on his debut at Toowoomba.
All racehorse names have to be approved by Racing Information Services
Australia but officials didn't pick up on the cheeky name.
But they have now moved swiftly to insist the horse be renamed and it will
in future be known as Journey On.
Businessman Rodney Lane has been identified as the "culprit".
"I was only having a bit of fun. That was the third name I submitted on the
list of possible names," he said.
"It's a sanitised world now. The minority rules."
Despite the diligence of RISA officials, there have been a few risque names
sneak through the system over the years.
Richard Cranium raced for several seasons, Wear The Fox Hat was never
banned, and Stun On caused mirth when fans read the gelding's name
backwards.

Muff Diver got through here and I think there was a Llamedos (read
backwards)
There is a house called Llamedos between New Malden And Kingston upon
Thames. I used to think at first that the name was Greek:-)

"Under Milk Wood" that radio masterpiece by Dylan Thomas for the BBC
was set in a Welsh village named Llareggub, which reads less
romanticaly backwards. The old drunk sneaked that past the Beeb back in
the 1960's.
In passing...........if you have never listened to this amazing work,
maybe you should? It is touching, very funny, nostalgic and a
masterpiece is the only way to describe it, and the Burton version
(the best) is available free on undermilkwood.net.
An hour well spent. Truly!
