Hennessy - Nickname
I've always liked The Listener quite a but I don't think it's quite as
cut and dried as the betting makes out today. For example you have last
year's Sun Alliance runner-up Snowy Morning who has been keeping himself
busy over hurdles but the main danger and one I am taking a chance on is
NICKNAME. Hugely impressive record over fences, mainly over 2 miles but
did slam Central House by 13 lengths last March over 2 1/2miles and won
easily over that trip as a novice so there is every chance there will be
improvement still to come stepped up to 3 miles. To me it looks like he
is crying out for a step up in trip, especially after labouring to beat
Kicking King last time and at around 5/1+ this game and consistent sort
looks excellent value to me.

Would have to agree with you Dave with one proviso, the ground has to be hock
deep for NICKNAME,any less and he gets beat :-( SNOWY MORNING is probably
the one, been saved for the National by hurdling but on his day is up to
taking this.Like you I am a fan of the LISTENER..
