It isn't a case of which to prefer, either you have a system,
or the knowledge to make a profit. If so then if you
use a percentage of your bank for each bet, your
bank will grow.
What percentage depends on your strike rate,
and longest expected losing run.
I think someone published a formula linking
strike rate and longest losing run.

You can only make bigger profit with a lower rate of return
if your bank is that much bigger to start with. And if you're always
making a bigger profit by virtue of having a bigger bank then the smaller
bank with a higher ROI can never catch up.

Or there again maybe it can. Er....
