Turf t.v.
Does this war between racecourses & the bookies mean that eventually we will
be left with no racing on our screens at home during this new year come the
big meetings?
This is a very worrying development for me, I'm very happy on the exchanges
on my laptop & ATR/RacingUK on my screen.
I'd hate to have to start going back into those high street betting shops or
my local my bookies again (which probably stinks of piss now the smoking ban
is in force)
Anyone else worried?

Cheers ears
Aid.

Betting shops are now very pleasant places to be, aside form the local
mouthy mug.
And what war are you referring to? I don't see one.

Re: Turf t.v.
Can't see that they've changed that much though (besides the smoking ban)
since the days when I wasted half my waking life in them.
Except only now the main source of income doesn't come from the over-round,
it comes from the virtual roulette wheel in the corner.
My original point was about the Ladbrokes & Bill Hill big wigs coming to an
agreement (or not) with the racecourse owned Turf t.v over price.
I see already that half of Royal Ascot will be shown exclusively on Turf
t.v. in the shops only, to the loss of the BBC.
Cheers ears

Sadblokes crumbled yesterday. Fred and Billy to follow.
