Tuesday Racing
Not too bad today, like the shape of a lot of the races where I expect
there to be a few winners in the 2nd/3rd fav category with the odd shock
hopefully...starting off at Folkestone..
Fol1240 Royal Rationale (Bring It On Home)
Fol110 Matcho Pierji (Kid Charlemagne)
Fol140 Hobbs Hill (Verasi)
Fol210 Sovietica (Treaty Flyer)
Fol240 Black De Bessy (NAP) (Bagan)
Fol310 Hercules Morse (Roddy The Vet)
Fol340 Porters War (Michigan Assasin)
May seem strange napping a 14/1 shot but although Hobbs Hill rates the
best bet on the card I don't feel comfortable napping a 1/2 shot. THe
other I like is Matcho Mierji as a value call to overturn Kid
Charlemagne but that could quite easily go the other way. The 2:40 is a
competitive race but BLACK DE BESSY is fairly well-treated on form from
a couple of seasons ago, is lightly raced since and showed he retained
ability with a fair 4th on his first run after a year off. He can go
well at a huge price.
Fak100 Mad Professor (Green Prospect)
Fak130 Mycenean Prince (Drum Native)
Fak200 Kanonkop (Dr McFab)
Fak230 Sprosser (Delightful Cliche)
Fak300 New Time (Flinders Bay)
Fak330 Bathwick Breeze (NAP)(Masterpoint)
I think Kanonkop in the 2:00 can overturn the Jonjo favourite Dr McFab
but the race looks tricky. Sprosser came close to being the nap in the
2:30 but the price is a bit short so I'll go with BATHWICK BREEZE in the
3:30 at around the 4/1 mark. Pipe is doing ok if not exactly flying but
this one won well last time and is interesting on his handicap debut.
Wol120 Rich Kid (Berrynarbor)
Wol150 Capricio (Hawa khana)
Wol220 Circus Polka (Local Poet)
Wol250 Opera Writer (Scutch Mill)
Wol320 The Gatekeeper (NAP) (Penchesco)
Wol350 Hoh Watanite (Prince Noel)
Wol420 Jojesse (Two Acres)
Wol450 Midmaar (Dysonic)
THE GATEKEEPER rates just about the best bet today. Stable is flying,
ran well last time, has solid speed and form figures lately and will
take all the beating. Snapped up the 5/2 this morning, will start a lot
shorter IMO.
Good luck all.
