Golf Liability
Hi all
As a new player, and one who can make quite a few wayward shots, is it worth
taking out a golf specific Insurance?
If so does anyone have any recommendations??
Thanks

I believe the following to be correct.
If you own the property you live in or are related to the person in the
property who owns it and the property is covered by a property insurance,
check the policy.
Property insurance normally includes personal liability cover up to £x
million covering not just the property owner but his/her family living there
as well.
That personal liability normally extends to persons you might injure or
property you may damage while playing golf but contact the insurers in
writing and get a reply in writing to this effect.
Gratefully, golf is not considered a dangerous sport.
If you want cover for your golf equipment, this may already be covered under
a house contents policy.
If not, it may be cheaper to add it rather than take out a separate policy.
If you are a tenant in a property or you want "hole-in-one" cover as well,
then you will have to go to a specialised golf policy.
Be aware that golf clubs are usually not covered if they are locked in your
car but can be seen from outside the vehicle or if they are left unattended
outside the clubhouse.
