New exercise for summer golf
New Exercise to Prepare for the Summer GOLFING Season

Begin by standing on a comfortable surface, where you have plenty of
room at each side. With a 5-lb potato sack in each hand, extend your
arms straight out from your sides and hold them there as long as you
can. Try to reach a full minute, and then relax. Each day you'll find
that you can hold this position for just a bit longer.

After a couple of weeks, move up to 10-lb potato sacks. Then try 50-lb
potato sacks and then eventually try to get to where you can lift a
100-lb potato sack in each hand and hold your arms straight for more
than a full minute. (I am at this level.)

After you feel confident at that level, put a potato in each of the sacks.

Mmm. Thanks for that feedback, David. We are obviously poles apart in
more ways than one and I am very glad of it.

Each to his own (you can keep yours)

This has gone over very well here in Canada. I circulated it to all of my
golfing friends and it will no doubt be spreading even further as I write
this. Of course, I had to convert everthing from barbaric Imperial to
world-wide metric!

Surprised at you Durram! I read(or saw) David's response with a big smile
on his face.
I loved it, and it is now going round the ladies of West Yorkshire. I'm sure
it will do them a world of good and I expect to see the benefits during the
coming 'summer?' season.
Thank you and keep 'em coming.
