News server
Hello everyone. I was minor contributor but an avid reader/lurker up
until about a year ago, when unexplainedly(?) I lost my connection to
the group. This also coincided with a particularly busy time at work,
so I never got round to sorting it out. I used to access via the
berlin university server (a fully paid up member!), but I can't seem
to find it. The big advantage, imho, of their format is the layout,
which is more user-friendly than the Google server. Can any one point
me in the right direction? Incidently it's nice to see all of the
old(no pun intended) names at the end of the posts, and that the North
v South contest is still flourishing. You will enjoy Forest of Arden.
I played there in the spring and I enjoyed both the course and the
facilities,
regards, David H.

Hi David, I think you mean http://news.individual.net/ If you put that
url in your browser it points to the home page

Come around next year and we'll explain it to you...
As Jaygee said, the "Berlin University" server has been renamed to
news.individual.net some time ago. Their fee is 10 ¤ per year, payable by
ClickandBuy. If it has been working after you payed once and doesn't work
any more, I see several possible major faults:
- you lost your account data,
- you failed to pay the renewal fee,
- (others)
They also have a FAQ <https://news.individual.net/faq.php> covering a lot
of questions...
Ciao,
Paul

...also. IIRC, my own account with them gets renewed automatically,
however there was once a problem because I had to cancel/change credit
card details because of a 'lost' card......I had omitted to tell them so
the renewal with the original card 'bounced'.
cheers
