Re: 2008 UKSG gathering
Bill
This is already sounding like the runaround that Demetri got last year. If
they are doing this at this distance, I wouldn't like our chances when it
gets nearer. Frankly, I think 9.00am is too early. This is supposed to be
a nice relaxing weekend (and I suspect there may be a few late-nighters too!)
and I for one don't want to be rushing up to get some breakfast, check-out
etc and fall onto the tee that early.

Personally I would rather go somewhere else and have a better and more
relaible service.

Love & peace

Janet

On balance I would agree, bearing in mind (as Janet pointed out) what
happened this year. There's still over 7 months to go. (8 to mid-
May.)

I'm inclined to agree, I get a different tale every contact I make even
though it's with the same person. I still have it on hold, and will
wait to see what the rest of the interested people say.

I have a few other ideas for venues if needs be.

Have mailed them back again to say that unless they can change to the
times I agreed to originally then we will go elsewhere. I still worry
that they could change at the last minute, so would be very hesitant to
go with them unless they improve somewhat their consistency.

I'd have to agree with all the doubters too

After the trouble Demetri had last year, and it looks as if Bill is getting
the runaround from them already, I'd tell 'em to shove it.

The omens don't look good

OK then

I have a few alternative choices,

I'm waiting for a few more contacts to get back to me with prices etc.

Will keep all informed.
