English word
Hi:

Can anybody tell me the english word used for a player whose handicap is
much higher than his level of game.

For example a player who can match handicap 12 but his license shows 28.
Very normal to normal to find these type of golfers in Rolex tournaments.

 :-D etc.

Thanks you.

I've never heard an english person use that expression, "bandit" is the
only term I've ever heard used in this country. Usually bellowed across the
green when such a person holes yet another putt, for example like the 17
handicapper my colleague played with last week who started his round
birdie-eagle (gross that is!). Although in that case he didn't need to putt
for the eagle, it was an 8-iron straight into the hole.

Yep in my experience bandit is the word most commonly used, with tedious
regularity (not aimed at me I hasten to add)
