HP2007 tee times
Well I've just seen the new pairings for HP2007 .. and (assuming it doesn't
change again, and I've read it correctly) I'm thrilled!

Not that there was anything against the previously published list - my two
days pairings were very good originally - but I think I'd played with
everyone I was paired against already.

With the republished pairings, it looks like I may get to play with Demetri,
Paul S-J, Carl (who I must confess I haven't come across on the newsgroup
but still looking forward to meeting...) and Mick B - none of whom I've had
the pleasure of playing with before .. plus JG Snr and Janet who I already
KNOW I will enjoy their company.

Shame I didn't get a chance for a revenge match against JG Snr after he
handed me my a** on a plate two years ago . .but I know Janet will be a
formidable opponent (courtesy shots? Don't even THINK about it! :P)

Of course this could all be different again by Sunday .. but who cares! Roll
on Sunday - and if I play as well on my pub society day this Friday as I
hope, maybe I'll be cut a shot or two by Sunday!

Playing for the North with a Northern organiser such a cut is as likely
as a penalty against Man Utd at Old Trafford ;-)

Wash your mouth out, young man. It is a well-established fact that
the Northern Warriors are, without exception, totally out of form in
the run-up to our annual bash, if not actually physically
incapacitated.

Me, for example: only 9 holes on a par-3 since last October. Be
afraid...

I have played slightly more, 17 holes this year in total!

Let us hope our partners, opponents and fellow-competitors are equally as
pleased to be playing with us!!!

Oh but John, of course I have been totally out of form!

Only just starting to find some form though at exactly the right
time ;-)

Ssssshhhh.

I'll be off to the range on Saturday to (mis-)hit 50 balls or so, and
then hope for the best on Sunday. Form on Monday will be in the hands
of the gods, quite possibly Bacchus (or Dionysus, for our organiser's
sake).

Is this distinct from Guinness or have you been at it already ?!

Personally, I have been wasting evenings this week at the local where
the festival ales are a whopping £1.39/pint. It's the only pub I know
where a fistful of change is enough to buy a round !

Playing for the North with a Northern organiser such a cut is as likely

Playing for the North with a Northern organiser such a cut is as likely
as a penalty against Man Utd at Old Trafford ;-)
