Doom and Gloom in the Daily Hate Mail
According to this

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-1049100/Hammers-meltdown-Curbishley-loop-board-agree-sell-Ferdinand.html

Zamora and Ferdinand have been sold against Curbishley's wishes, and Upson
and Cole are also up for sale.

The same paper also runs a story

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-1048945/HATCHET-MAN-Unlucky-Hammers-fans-Curbs-wont-push-frugal-Icelanders.html

claiming that BG is reluctant to sack Curbs and Co because of the cost of
compensation, and possibly because there would be no money available to a
new manager for player purchases.

Combining the two pieces, thinks sound very grim at UP.

The saving grace, of course, is that the papers are usually full of crap
anyway :-)
