The trouble with players whose main asset is pace is that they tend to pick
up injuries, which eventually lead to a loss of pace ...

With our record for buying crocks, how long would AJ last, I wonder?

And if we did buy him, what would that mean for Bellamy?

Would we just play them on alternate weekends?

Re: Johnson?
What is it with the Hammers and buying or being linked with such average
players...? When the takeover happened it was supposed to be a new era for
the club and fans, I see little or no evidence of this.

Bellamy was a great purchase and he was magic for us last season and seems
to have got over his injury problems and feel he will give his all for us.
As for dyer and all the sick notes purchased, it is bloody ridiculous. Why
don't we just go to the local hospital and take what we can from the
intensive care department.

Don't you get that wonderful feeling for next season....? No, me neither
(again).

He would go down well in the 'Championship'

Why do we need to sign older players who are going over the hill and are
almost finished, surely we should be looking for young players and ones who
are willing to run for 90 minutes and give 100%.

To be fair to AJ, he has the reputation of being a hard worker, willing to
chase 'lost causes' all day long. How long he could keep that up is another
matter, though.

I'm not so sure he'd be all that keen to come to West Ham, anyway, given as
he's regarded as surplus to requirements by one manager who favours a tall
target man lone striker system, why would he sign up for another?
