Just got back. Amazing performance. Why can't we play that every game? We
mullered them, played them off the park.
Must be game of the day on Football First tonight on Sky.

I have to listen to the games through the internet and there was one
noticeable difference today. The crowd. The atmosphere was fantastic and
just oozed out of my speakers. I'm sure that makes a difference as to
how they play.
Well done the Hammers but, also, well played the crowd (take a bow
Billericay and others).

LOL. Just completely ignore the fact that we played like schoolboys, won't
ya?
Had we been on our game, we'd have made light work of your lot. We're just
guilty of going into games against certain teams with the wrong attitude -
believing it is won without having to break a sweat. That is why we can
"muller" (to borrow your phrase) the other top three clubs, and falter
against Bolton, Man City or your lot. A very bad attitude indeed, and one we
shall have to rectify should we want to beat Arsenal to the title.
However, *despite* our playing like kids in the park, I suppose you played
OK. Nothing too special, though. Sorry to bring you back down to earth,
like. :)

P.S. From your (Manure) website:
Sir Alex Ferguson was magnanimous in defeat as United slipped to a dramatic
2-1 reverse at West Ham, conceding that the Hammers had been clearly the
better side.

Sir Alex also paid compliment to West Ham last night on Sky, stating
that West Ham were the better side. No excuses for his own side; just
that West Ham were better. I was impressed with his humility and
honesty. What a shame that some of their "supporters" cannot follow his
example. Perhaps they don't know as much about football as Sir Alex does.

You obviously were not there Slitheen. The only ones being bought back down
to earth are Manure. You did not play like kids, we played you off the park
and we did not let you play. Even Fergie had to admit this (in not so many
words as he does). We were first to every loose ball, tackled hard (which
your nancy boy referee protected players did not like), understood the task
at hand and out passed you. Our one touch passing at times left your players
looking lost. Saha backed down every time Upson went near him, Fletcher was
second to every ball when going forward so he sat back, Hargreaves could not
compete with Noble, Mullins or Parker, Cole was stronger than all your
defenders put together, Solano out thought *every* Manure player and Tevez
was far too emotional about coming home and the reception he got that he had
to be subbed. Giggs and Ronaldo cannot do it on their own and the pressure
took it's toll on both of them. We hit your players confidence and it
showed.
Saying that, my money is still on Manure to win the title.
Bring on Arsenal.

Matches where we throw it away at the last moment?
Have a look at:
http://myp2p.eu/index.php?part=sports
I'd suggest the Sopcast software as being stable and easy to use.
It does require that you allow your computer to act as a server - you're
becoming a point in the distribution system: get it, view it, pass it on -
that's a bit simplistic but you get the idea.
I don't know anyone who's had any security problems - and there'd be plenty
of people talking about it in the forums if there were issues.
There's a loss of picture quality but a stream of 300+bps is more than
watchable.
Streams can be a bit unstable or not appear when they're supposed to but
you'll generally find one that works well. [EN] next to a stream tells you
the commentary is in English.
If you want to get the Sopcast software and install it, I'll pop in here ten
minutes before the Tuesday match against Arsenal and let you know which
channel is working best for me.
Have a good New Year.

Ignore Slitheen, who cares what he thinks? Perhaps he's right, and Man U
were o0verconfident and didn't consider there was any possibility of losing
to West Ham, I mean, how long is it since that last happened? Oh yes, last
season, twice, wasn't it?
I expect it'll be MUCH tougher against Arsenal than it was against Man U,
even though we beat them twice last season, too. Arsenal have a clever
manager, a very slick and resilient midfield, and a potent in-form striker
leading the line ...

...and a Happy New Year to one and all.
The top link on:
http://www.myp2p.eu/broadcast.php?matchid=4123&part=sports
is the Sopcast channel 4001 (hover over the "Play" link and the channel
number shows in the status bar at the bottom of the browser).
It's currently showing the Fulham/Chelsea match and the quality (of the
image!) is very good.
Don't be put off by the foreign (South Korean?) studio chat, the commentary
is straight from Sky. I have to say I'm amazed that South Koreans watch
quite so much football. The other week they had Hull v Sheffield United
(didn't they used to be in the premiership?). I find it hard to imagine a
conversation in which one South Korean says to another, "No, I'm not coming
out with the lads tonight. I'm staying in to watch Hull versus Sheffield
United live on TV."
BTW, I generally choose to watch on my own media player software rather than
the Sopcast software so, once the channel's playing, click the link at the
bottom right of the Sopcast screen and it will re-open the stream in your
media player of choice.
Enjoy.

Seem to be having problems on that channel (4001) - the bottom one on the

30256.

Peter,
Thank you very much for your help, which was clear and precise. I
finally got time to download Sopcast about 45 minutes ago. It installed
without any problem and, thanks to your link to MyP2p I am now watching
channel 30256.
Now, all I need to do is to learn Korean so I can understand the

Damn! In fact Damn! three times:
One: Sorry. I should have looked in here when the link went down for me in
case you were watching it on the same stream. I just swapped to a different
stream - my apologies. I'll list the other sources below.
Two: There are times when it gets a little bit flaky - I'd really hoped that
it would have been simple and straightforward the first few times so you
could have seen how good it is before encountering difficulties. Apart from
anything else, the wonders of the internet have handed over control of your
TV remote to some well-meaning idiot whom you've never met and who's on the
other side of the world.
Three: Today's match looks to be the only event in which a ball will be
kicked, anywhere in the world, that's not available as a stream!
If you're still game, here are the three places that I look:
http://www.myp2p.eu - the one you used;
http://livefooty.doctor-serv.com/ - their streams are done through embedded
video within their web pages but you still need the appropriate software. A
lot of their streams are SopCast.
http://www.footballstreaming.info/ - click the "LIVE Streams & Feedback"
button. Probably the greatest number of streams but some of them can be a
bit obscure.
You might want to supplement your software with "TVAnts" - their download
site isn't worth the visit unless you can read Chinese but it can be
downloaded from:
http://www.myp2p.eu/softwareitem.php?softwareid=4&part=software
The up-side of all this is messing about is that I've watched more top
quality football this season than any subscriber service could have brought
me.
And now - off to 5-Live.
C'mon!

Thanks for all the information. I will save them for future use. Thanks
for confirming that there is no stream today, I'll stop looking and
listen to the match on the West Ham site.
One question, how do you change channels in Sopcast? Is it as simple as
clicking on "Live Channels" and selecting one? Perhaps I'm looking for
problems that don't exist.

Perhaps a bit of a blessing in hindsight?

It's easiest, most times, to close Sopcast, click on one of the other links
and re-open it. There is a setting in Sopcast, under "Option" that will
allow you to open more than one channel - handy for seeing which one is
performing better. Once you've viewed a channel, it will be in the drop-down
but I haven't found a way of typing the channel number in directly.

Yes, perhaps they were trying to tell us something.

Thanks. All understood.
My thoughts re the replay. I think we may now stand a chance. I kept
hearing the commentator saying that Man City is a fortress but that may
lead to over confidence. Meanwhile, our away form suggests we prefer to
play away at the moment. Let's hope we can watch it.

Re: Update to streaming TV coverage [Was Re: Manure]
As far as I can see, today's match is only available through TVAnts. No
problem, thought I, I'll just install the software. Everything has gone
well until I click the link in MyP2P. It start up TVAnts and my security
(AVG) promptly finds 2 or three files containing Hijack software. I
allowed AVG to heal the files and now TVAnts is taking an absolute age
buffering. Anyone any thoughts, please?
