Route to Upton Park
My daughter is a newly-converted fan of West Ham and has tickets to the game
on Wednesday night as part of her Xmas present. Could someone let us know
the best way to get to the ground when coming from Lincoln. M11 looks the
best way but do we drive in with sat-nav or park and take the tube

Thanks to anyone who can help

Re: Route to Upton Park
Come as early as possible, get as close to the ground as possible, take your
SatNav with you and walk the last 1/2 mile or so. Get here EARLY!

Re: Route to Upton Park
Thanks. AutoRoute says it's 3 hours so they're planning on allowing 6.

Re: Route to Upton Park
Welcome to West Ham. I'd say sat-nav it to green street or barking rd, you
should find somewhere to park that time of night, as long as you get there
early as housetrained said, and definitely don't leave it in the car.
I hope she enjoys her present, like 3 - 0 to the Hammers.
Merry Christmas..!!

Would Gabbidon and Green benefit from sat nav? :-(

Oh well, we could still win some silverware before I hit the big 5 0!

Re: Route to Upton Park
That could be good or bad news, if you are now 49 it's great news, but if
you are 10 we could be waiting another 40 years. That would then make me
105.

Only 14 months to go so the FA Cup or next season's Carling Cup are my last
hopes although I think the CC final is scheduled after my b'day so it's the
FA Cup or bust unless the London Masters counts :-)

The highlight of my 50 plus years as a West Ham supporter was the night I
was at Wembley when they lifted the European Cup Winners Cup.

I've only done 40 years so far and the highlight has to be Wembley 1980 but
for the whole day out Heysel 1976 runs it a close second even though we
lost.
