The squad
Well because discussion seems to be mostly wasted on Pom$ky trolls at the
moment, I thought I'd post something more interesting. This is the current
squad list after the anouncements today. The gaps in each section are to
split the kids from the seniors (although I've included Folly as a "kid" and
Bialkowski as a senior for obvious reasons).

Goalies
--------
Bartosz Bialkowski
Kevin Miller (No decision on him yet)
Paul Smith

Michael Poke
Kevin Miller

Defenders
-----------
Chris Baird
Danny Higginbotham
Claus Lundekvam
Micheal Svensson
Darren Powell
Alexander Ostlund

Gareth Bale
Martin Cranie
Kyle Critchell

(Jelle Van Damme*)

Midfielders
-----------
Djamel Belmadi
Matt Oakley (if he choose to sign the new contract)
David Prutton

Yoann Folly
Andrew Surman
Nathan Dyer
Simon Gillett

Strikers
--------
Grzegorz Rasiak
Ricardo Fuller

Kenwyne Jones
Dexter Blackstock
David McGoldrick

* Almost certainly won't be back, but is technically still our player

The defence doesn't look too bad there but our midfield is desperately thin
and we need at least one more decent goalscorer.

It's sad to see Parhars go. More then anything because people always say
about wanting players that really really want to play for their club and
Parhars is a great example. Okay the club may not been keen on a 30 year old
with injury problems that's not been at his best for years, but it seems he
was willing to sign for a peanuts and on a short term contract so to not
even talk to him about it is disapointing. Still on the positive side,
perhaps it means Burley is planning to bring in either one top striker (by
championship standards anyway) or a couple of good ones and couldn't see
Parhars getting enough games to even attempt to regain his form. Still as I
said sad that it worked out like that, I think we all were hoping over the
last couple of years that we'd see the best from Pahars again.

Kentons gone too. Can't knock his determination to break into the side (or
was it just to pick up his pay cheque). Shame he didn't have the talent to
do it, even at this level.
