Century of dominance.
Rangers are officially* the most successful club in the 100+-year history of
Scottish football. Since the inception of leagues to decide the Scottish
championship, Rangers have lifted the title on no fewer than 51 occasions.
Rangers have also won the most games, scored the most goals, won the most
points, had the best ever season, blah, blah, blah... Rangers have also
finished a close second on many occasions but that means fuck all so I don't
know why I mentioned it.

Overall, it has been a century of dominance.

*This has not actually been 'officially declared' but the statistics have
always been in the public domain and didn't require 'releasing'.

I've not got a time machine so I'll just make do with recent memories, the
present and the future.

I wonder when the 'whole of history' only started to refer to footballing
events that happened in Scotland.... ;)

If British military history includes the Battle of Waterloo in Belgium,
surely Scottish Football history should include events in Estadio Nacional
in Lisbon during a famous European Cup Final...

I think the tarrier remark only will have made him likely to fit in with 2-3
people on the NG's and looks like one has already jumped straight in trying
to make a new friend.

To be fair I agree with you and I applaud your correction on Liam's sweeping
generalisation of "They".
But I can't honestly think of 3 "out and proud" bigots on either newsgroup.
There's the obvious one, maybe two, but no one really uses terms such as
'Tarrier' or equally offensive language other than in context (ie quoting).

btw... what IS a Tarrier... I'd look it up, but it might taint my google
cookies and turn all my google-sponsored adverts into a big conspiract
theory ;-)

For someone so 'new' you seem to have your mind made up on the regulars...

Liam and Husker aren't bigots - staunchly celtic minded yes, but thats their
prerogative as much as it is anyones to be loyal and defensive of their
club.
Hoops can be a bit tetchy, and he can come across a bit harsh sometimes (he
likes to rile it up a bit) but I wouldn't say he was a bigot.

I also notice that you left out anyone claiming to be Rangers fans.
Maybe you are new, or maybe you are just an alter-ego playing on the fact
that we have numpties in here when the schools are on holiday... either way,
I'm sure you'll find out that language such as "tarriers and taigs" is not
welcome here.

Strange that isnt it! Either he isnt so "New" or hes a forum member
somewhere else and speaks to the more extreme rangers fans who post here
possibly?

The three i would say, well of course sick jim's one,Then you have the
supermarket related one but the third seems to chop and change, sometimes hes
actually ok then other times he goes off the rails with the other two so
maybe i should retract it to just the two.Although with this new guy its
looking like the tally is back to three again sadly.

Says the fucking lame brain halfwit, who supports a club of which it's very
foundation was built on the bedrock of sectarianism.

To this very day that club is run under the sleekitness & supported by the
hordes whose mindset is solely of "Celtic mindedness"

Your brother Walfrid was a fucking bigot & he hated anyone pronouncing
Celtic the way it is pronounced today. Clowns can't even pronounce their
club name properly, no wonder the fucking idiots can't even spell boy
properly.

To say *they* isn't really to make a sweeping generalisation...inter alia
Jim, Andy and Blue Bother would all be classified as *they*...as would
Celtic fans if they behaved the same way...

That doesn't really answer my question Blue Bother...I was wondering what
statistic Angof was quoting....maybe Angof can enlighten us...maybe it's a
secret code that you all use...?

Hilarious.

My wife's Church of Scotland, so's my mum. Ex-wife is a Methodist, best pal
and best man at both my weddings is C.O.S. My mate I sit next to on our
supporter's bus is protestant, along with about 20% of the rest of the bus,
I also watch any away games I don't attend with him in the pub. I also went
to a protestant school where, guess what, most of my mates were/are
protestant. I've never been a protestant but can't understand why you think
I'd want to hate them purely based on their religion.

One Scotland, many cultures. And all the better for it.

Bigots like yourself are a dying breed and a changing society has decided
that you're no longer the peepul.

No argument that your club was built on a sectarian foundation bv the
bigoted brother then, I'm glad that you at least acknowledge that.

Are you Celtic minded?

Did you go to a school which practiced apartheid, sectarianism & bigotry,
were you separated from your play friends at the age of five on purely
religious grounds?

Correctoin du, there is no such thing as a Protestant school. The only
Protestant School (a wee free one) closed. The two main schooling streams
are Non-Denominational and Roman-Catholic.

What did you say then?

Go ahead & tell me where I am wrong in any of the above.

Celtic, the club founded by a bigot priest, to keep Roman Catholic children
away from Protestants.

The Roman Catholic church in Scotland, which in the twenty first century
divides & differentiates between five year olds on the grounds of religion.

Are you a supporter of apartheid?

I can provide the proof of all of the above, so are you going to refute the
truth?

Whats the point of arguing with someone such as yourself or Jim who have
hatred so deeply built within you ? Its the last crying screams of an age
group that lived on hatred and hate the fact now that most decent fans
within the OF can get along now.

It may really hurt you to know that i went to a protestant school, then moved
to england and for a year went to a C of E school and returned home to a
Catholic school for a few years so sampled both sides school wise . As i
have said before i dont give a fuck about religion, got no time for it as it
spawns people like yourself that want to crate problems instead of solutions
in communities. The thing was when i was 5 my parents believed in letting me
play with kids who were respectful to them, sounds like your parents must
have asked them first and foremost which religion they were before knowing
their name,hence your inbuilt hatred.

That may be the official line Oso but there was a minister from St Stephens
at every single assembly I attended in the six years I was there. We had
bible readings and he gave always gave a wee sermon. I doubt my school was
that much different from the rest.

You are not going to argue because you cannot refute the fact that your club
was built on bigotry.

I don't have any hatreds in me, I delight in pointing out bigotry where it
exists, also I just love to point out the bigotry of bigots decrying others
for being bigoted.

However unpalatable to you, nothing I have ever stated on this ng is
anything but true, if you think you can prove otherwise then let's do it. I
have never nor will I ever subscribe to political correctness.

I worked for one of the biggest companies in Scotland for thirty years &
enjoyed the company of all creeds & denominations, never once did I fall out
with any of my workmates (excepting management) on any grounds, but I was
well known for sticking up for the underdog.

It doesn't hurt me at all, it only goes to prove my case, that you were
seperated from kids your own age on religious grounds at the age of five.

As i

Nah, it is apartheid which creates the seperation of school children, making
them different at five years of age, which is responsible for the divisions
in Scottish society.

Your parents picked the kids you could play with?

It's a great pity that they didn't educate you to being respectful to & not
be bigoted toward other peoples parents then.

Nope im not getting into an argument with you because everything regarding
the two clubs is black and white, theres no greay area so arguing with you
would be like dealing with a very dated alf garnet.

Rubbish, you are one of the biggest hate mongers on here! As soon as theres a
chance to cause problems, you or mini you are straight in!

I dont give a fuck about political correctness either.Ok truth wise, then
prove my parents held me back from a mixed society when i was 5 ? is that
all just based around school because if so i expect your parents kept a
catholic,a jew,a hindu etc around you otherwise werent they keeping you in
some kind of " apartheid" (oh such a dramatic word, only you could come out
with it).

Oh what a superhero! I bet you were the one they all thought was a cunt but
just nodded to.Head of the union were you ? Care to give us the company
details so we can check, like you say it would be nice to find out the truth.

No come on,you tell us all what celtic minded us Drew, and if there is a
celtic minded surely there must be a rangers minded so lets see what your
view is because id like to know as a celtic supporter what my mindset should
be as opposed to the rangers one!

And you were in school with jewish folk, hindus, muslims etc?Which school was
that Drew ? Od did your parents practice some kind of "apartheid".

Very true on all sides. Its when your outside the fishbowl for long enough
you see how backward it is.But you carry on looking at your golden watch in
the fishbowl and just keep adding to the hatred.

Nope, just made sure the ones that caused trouble were kept out of the house.

Why be respectful to people who have spawned nothing but walking hatred ? Im
not the one that has a hatred of a religion in the same way you and Jim seem
to have!

Isn't it the case that Protestant children can receive primary and secondary
education in Roman Catholic schools? Indeed this week didn't we see a
Protestant appointed to lead a Catholic school. Kinda refutes your
"apartheid" argument....

Well when I was at Shawlands (as a teacher) religious observation was

I guess it was voluntary at my school but only in the very loosest sense and
not in the way I'd use the word voluntary. It was actually compulsary to
attend and required a letter from parent/guardian to opt out. It only
appeared to be Jehovah Witnesses that left the hall before the religious
stuff began.

You may call it non-denominational but a weekly sermon from a Church of
Scotland minister left a different memory in my mind. My oldest bhoy went
to a 'non-denominational' school, each end of term having a service held in
the local protestant church. I've got no problems with it as when you get
away from the extremists and bigots, all the major religions are preaching
much the same thing.

Times have changed from when you were at school (get your zimmer frame,
hearing horn and three pairs of glasses out) ;). The end of term services
at Shawlands were voluntary but if you didn't go you would be in a class. I
don't know about other scools. The school my son is at have precisely zero
religious services a year.

I imagine you're still a decade or two older than me Oso :-P

I've got another starting primary in August at a different school, we'll see
what happens. Anyway, it's the standard of education that really matters.

I really don't have to say any more. That simple statement, on it's own,
proves my point that you are a bigot.

I probably am a decade or two older than you. I'd agree it is the quality
of education that is paramount.

Money has got more to do with your child's results than you would think.
Also the parents' (or sometimes just parent's) attitude to education is more
telling on academic achievement than anything a teacher will ever do. The
poorer and more hostile a parent is to education, the more likely the child
is to do badly at school/

Oh now theres the run to the hills phrase ! Why is it bigoted to say that
yet you make comments about my parents actions and its deemed ok? Now come
on Morrison answer the points i put to you . I think in reality the issue is
you have made a prick of yourself yet again by mouthing something off about
being "Celtic minded" yet cant even explain what that is.So you looked for
the quickest way to deflect and run.Not really surprising,no doubt you have
better things to do like draw some BJK placards up ready for next season. If
you do however get a spine at some point im sure we would all love to know
what you deem "Celtic Minded" and "Rangers Minded" to be , but i doubt that
will happen anytime soon. And no doubt your stomach churning comedy routine
about being loved so much at work was a total lie as well........run drew
run!
