Away, do you honestly think we will go out and beat St Mirren by a sackload
of goals then beat the sheepshaggers 3 days later ?
At this rate and on this form we might not even win the Scottish Cup

Deffo, Celtic still need to win thursday (Against United who have
nothing to play for) And even if Rangers draw with Saints on monday
they'll only need to beat Aberdeen 8-0!!!
BWAAAAHHHAAAHHHAAAAA bring on 3 in a row!!!

Aye you know the quad may have gone, the domestic treble may be teetering on
the brink, but you've always got the domestic cup double to look forward
to....right enough, in saying that, QOTS are a right good side... Still
winning a trophy this year will still be an improvement on previous years.

They might not win their final match. I'd be surprised but anything can
happen when the pressure's on, as we've seen before. We look anything but
champions though.

Well considering the games we have been expected to play in so short a time
its no wonder were struggling, pathetic really. however, no excuses!

The main difference between this quad attempt and Mon's is we have actually
won something ;-)
I fancy you lot too drop 2 points in your next game, that will be very nice
;-)

As for QOTS, if they perform like the did against the sheepshaggers..well
they have a good chance!

The main difference is that you still can win the league.

BTW - cups are a complete irrelevance to most OF fans, unless they form part
of a set which includes the league title.

No wonder your team's blowing it with supporters like you. The reason
Celtic are still in it is because when we hit bottom against 'well a few
weeks ago, the support got behind the team even more.

Outsung against Zenit and going by the radio, outsung again today.

I do fear for Motherwell town centre though.

Oh FFS ZB, the league was done the minute big Humperdink of Castlemilk
scored the last minute winner on the Wed night in the OF game.

Sure, we Rangers fans can hope Utd do us a favour (fat chance of that after
last week), but for me it's now one of those strange seasons where both sets
of the OF will class it as a successful season - Celtic as champions, and
Rangers for the reaching the UEFA Cup final. I know I said in 2003 you lot
couldn't say it was successful after winning fuck all, but I'm happy to
admit I was wrong - just seeing your team in a European final is much bigger
than I thought it would feel like.

The difference I can see between 2003 and this season is three-fold:

1) Rangers will end this season, either way, with at least 1, probably 2,
trophies (and maybe 3). Celtic won fuck all in 2003.
2) Celtic reached the UEFA Cup final on the back of already being champions
and having a good side, with money spent. Rangers have done it off the back
of being so far behind last season it was untrue, and with a relatively
shoe-string budget.
3) Rangers reached the UEFA Cup final AND had a money-spinning crack at the
group stage of the CL. Celtic reached the UEFA Cup final on the back of
being papped out of the CL at the qualifying stage.

So all in all a really good season for us, I'm very proud and very happy.
Would be nice to still win the league, but I can't see it now, and well done
Celtic if they do go on and win it.

And before anyone questions why I haven't commented on the trouble in
Manchester, I'll say my piece now and I won't comment any further on it - a
minority of arseholes caused trouble and should be banned/shot/have their
balls chopped off. I was in Manchester and had a great time, mixing with
locals and Russians and have honestly never had such a great time at a
football game. The neanderthals that "follow" our club should take a long
hard look at themselves (which they won't). A great occassion for 100,000+
plus runied by a few fucking wankers.

As I said I won't comment any further. Above is my condemnation of the
arseholes. If you wonder why I won't comment again, just re-read the above,
my position won't change. I can't really be arsed getting into debates
about it (especially with people who display fake shock & dismay when
secretly they're delighted there was trouble and use it to point score) when
there's nothing to debate - the arseholes were there, albeit in the
minority, and I condemn their actions.

And RIP Tommy Burns, I never new the guy, but from what I can gather a very
decent human being and a great football man.

Unless you have a new manager, and were so far behind last season that ANY
trophy can be seen as a step in the right direction.

But generally speaking you're right - for the OF a CIS cup means fuck all
without the other 2, and a Scottish cup fuck all without the league

We were as far behind when Alex McLeish took over and he won the treble in
his first full season. That was success. If we fail to win the league, as
looks likely, that is not success. That is the way it is when you are
running in a two horse race.

They mean little on their own except perhaps when they are all that's
available, as when DA left half-way through the season.

he should, the way celtic glorify that season is a joke, they accomplished
zero...squat...zilch....nothing! rangers have and will probably do the

Pff utter shite.
So Celtic fans dont care about losing out on any cup comp? utter crap and
you know it.
The Seville year was an abject failure, totally pathetic, it was glorifyed
and resulted in Celtic failing at everything they attempted. A weak team who
had no inner strength.
They had a damn sight more skill than the current Rangers team, however they
were nowhere near as mentally strong. If our team had the skills of that old
Celtic team the quad would be delivered.
The Celtic team that failed..miserably that year...won nothing...and had
nothing like the fixture pile up we have to endure....and will overcome.

Marco & Angof don't seem to think so. The year we blew the league, do you
honestly believe that winning the Scottish Cup meant anything to Celtic
fans? It was better than nowt, but not by much.

> So Celtic fans dont care about losing out on any cup comp? utter crap and

Of course we do, but winning a Cup means SFA if you don't win the league.
Are you telling me that if Rangers win the CIS & Scottish Cups, you will be
happy?

Complete and utter nonsense and you know it, that's the bitter pills
talking. We got to the UEFA Cup final with skill, ability and passion.
Rangers ground their way to the final playing 9 men behind the ball and
winning on penalties. Your achievement was exceptional based on the lower
quality of players you have, but in no way was that year a failure for us.
Instead of moaning and whining about the number of games we had to play, we
played Liverpool & Rangers twice in 12 days winning 2, drawing 1 and being
cheated out of a draw in the other (Hartson was 2 yards onside when he
scored and yet was flagged off). We came back from extra time in Seville and
played Killie only 2 days after returning. We were able to beat them 4-0
away from home, that showed tremendous character and only the bitterest of
the bitter would deny that.

> They had a damn sight more skill than the current Rangers team, however

Utter pish. You've been very mentally strong to throw away a 10 point lead.
Well done.

LOL! If your granny had baws, she would be your granda.

Utter pish. The experience of getting to a UEFA final will live with me for
ever, it was a fantastic experience to go abroad, cheer my team on in a
final and not riot like animals completely trashing the place we visited...

You sound like a right bitter cnut today, wonder why? Gerritriteupye!

I think you'll find most Rangers fans will be happy with that, given we were
in a European final too.

And by the way that's your own logic, from 2003, which clearly states you
don't need to win ANY trophies to be happy & class it as a successful
season.

Come off it Marco, are you telling me that the Rangers support who were
hoping for a quadruple will be happy *if* they only win the 2 minor
trophies? I was expecting you to won all 4 to be honest. At the start of the
season, definitely you would take it, but not given the fact you had a 10
pts advantage with only a few games left and Celtic had just lost at home to
Motherwell.

Where did I say it was a successful season? I said the experience of getting
to the final was fantastic and I said it was not a failure. That was an
amazing rollercoaster season, but ultimately unsuccessful. However, to call
getting to your first European final in 30 years a failure is a bit extreme
to say the least.

That's the point. Expectations change. We may have been happy with a
European final and a couple of cups pre-season but once we got ourselves
into a great position in the league, most then expected to win it.
Another thing is the brand of football we have been playing. The management
will get away with that as long as it brings success but now it looks like
we've had to tolerate that pish for practically nothing. Personally I don't
think most fans will be happy, (if we don't win the league). When your
running in a two-horse race, that's the way it is.

I think you are going way OTT there. Seville was great since it was a great
run and we beat some great teams on the way to the final. The final was a
great game, not 90 mins of anti-football, and we never showed ourselves up
either with thousands of fans rampaging through a major city. Our fans in
Seville were magnificent ambassadors for the club and for Scotland.

If I have learnt anything during Big Eck's time in charge, it aint over
till the fat lady sings.

Surely I need not remind you of the last two occasions it went to the
last day.

Celtic are now in the driving seat that is for sure but I certainly
wouldn't put money on where the league title will end up.

We lost two Leagues on the last day during MON.......I fully realise that
although the league is in our hands, Thursday might not go our way...I was
only inquiring into whether andy still thought Rangers were gonna win the
league....since he suggested "we will overcome"...
