The Title Run in, 2008
As it stands

Celtic: Played 37 Goals for 83 Goals Against 26 GD +57 Points 86
Rangers: Played 35 Goals for 80 Goals Against 30 GD +50 Points 82

Celtic's remaining match Dundee United (H) total Possible points 89
Rangers Run in Motherwell, (A), St Mirren (A), Aberdeen (A), Total Possible
points 91

Situations

1. Rangers win all their matches: Rangers win the title with 91, regardless
of Celtic Result.
2. Rangers win 2 matches and draw one match with a GD less than Celtic,
Celtic win v Dundee Utd, Celtic win on GD.
3. Rangers win 2 matches and draw one match, Celtic beat Dundee Utd but
Equal GD Rangers win on Goals Scored.
4. Rangers win v St Mirren and Motherwell. Rangers and Celtic Both Draw on
Final day, Rangers win.
Others prospects are available if Rangers lose v Motherwell &/or St Mirren
but it starts getting too complex.

Have i got this right? Ranger have to score at least 9 goals in their
next 3 games (Presuming Celtic win 1 nil against Dundee Utd) to win on
Goals scored? An average of 3 per game without dropping any. Is this
really a possibility? When was the last time you won by 3 clear goals?
I'll give you a clue, it was in February. I think the mostly likely
outcome is either Rangers win all 3 and take the title or lose or draw
one and Celtic win their last game and take the title.

Hopefully you get beat by Motherwell and St Mirren and it saves us having
to bother with the last game. :-)

If we were to assume that the title will be decided on goal difference, that
means that Rangers will draw one of their three remaining games and Celtic
win away to Dundee Utd. In which case, assuming Celtic win by 1 goal, then
Rangers have 2 games in which to make up a goal difference of 8 (because we
are assuming they draw one). If they do make up a goal difference of 8, they
will win on most goals scored (I am assuming that is the next deciding
factor if teams are level on goal difference).

The deciding order would be on page 54 of the pdf file
Points (Rule A6.2.2)
If points scored are equal then Goal Difference (Rule A6.3)
If Goal difference is equal then Goals Scored (Rule A6.3)
If all else equal- a play off match. (Rule A6.4)

I can see Motherwell and Aberdeen taking Rangers. They'll take them as
lambs to the slaughter. Just a pity Dundee Utd didn't get anything last
weekend.

The wheels on the bus go click click click, click click click, click click
