NTL / Virginmedia stopped the news server that I was using from working and 
for the one they suggested I use instead, I can't get a list of newsgroups 
downloaded without it hanging.

This one that I'm using now, text.news.virginmedia.com, seems to work ok 
although it doesn't carry all that many groups. The one they suggested we 
use now is news.virginmedia.com, but it hangs after downloading so many 
newsgroups when I try to reset the list.
