Ask the Irish Times. I believe it was they that coined the phrase
(regarding the Dublin Loyal).

Who are the enemy? You seem to know.

Maybe the bastards whom your fellow supporters were showing their affection
for, with their some men fought for silver banner.

No...just something I read on RM. The Irish Times did an article on the
Dublin Loyal and (jokingly) coined the phrase 'Behind Enemy Lines'.

their creative inspiration.

Probably...Rangers Media, <cough, cough> it's not exactly what one would
call....eh...an objective source of information, now is it Angof?....at
least oso made some attempt to justify the assertion that it was The Irish
Times that coined the phrase in this context...

"Justify the assertion"? Was I hell, I did 30 secs typing various
combinations into a search engine and the Irish Times internal search
engine, 5 minutes of filtering bad hits and that is all I could come up
with. Just satisfying my curiosity.

I was wondering if this justified Angof's assertion. Since the existing
support he had was from a Rangers forum....

Funny how when ZB repeats a forum assertion about the RST, Angof accused him
of being a liar. But for Angof it seems fine to use the phrase "I read it
in a forum". Funny that....

What was the silver banner and what has this got to do with Dublin being

maybe it would suit you better to look at your own instead of hurting
and looking for some reason to start one of your bigoted trolls, the
silver banner was hanging from the corner of the LJWA stand, Part of

LOL, good spot. Someone ought to tell the fanny it's a NG and he needs to
calm down a bit. Maybe he needs to get himself a good ride or something,
release some of the stress.

Angof does seem to get himself quite stressed about the daftest things. It's
a ng FFS! The fool should definitely lighten up.

You asked him for proof that the RST was involved in the BJK. And since he
only said he read it on Follow Follow, you said he was lying. Below is the

No...I said he may well have read someone saying that that on FF but that
obviously doesn't mean that the RST were heavilly involved (even if he could
show these individuals were members of any particular organisation)...and of
course the RST wasn't involved at all.

>>> I didn't know the RST were ' heavily involved in the invention'

And? ZB made that up in one of his hissy fits after making an arse of
himself over his stupid 'enjoying paedophillia' rant. Don't forget the
context either. He was asking if Rangers FC had contacted the RST over this
imaginary involvement in the 'invention' of BJK.

He read something on Follow Follow, you ask for proof, he had none, you
called him a liar. What part of this don't you understand Angof?

I don't understand your point for a start. The quotes you give were before
he even claimed he saw high up members of the RST (who he wont name)
'inventing' the BJK thing.

Let's start from basics then shall we. Did you write "I didn't know the RST
were ' heavily involved in the invention'
(sic)...you have proof of that?"?

And did you write "What's the matter...no answer? I can only assume from
your inability to
answer that you were lying yet again."?

Liam you are once again making a cunt of it. I never said ZB was a liar in
that quote because of anything he claimed was said on a forum. Those quotes
were from the very beginning of the (sub) thread and before he made any wild
claims about these high up members of the RST and what they were saying on
FF. I was saying he was a liar when he made his hysterical claim that the
RST were ' heavily involved in the invention' (of BJK). Read the thread
and it might help you to keep up.

I may have been wrong in saying the Irish Times. Someone told me it was 'an
Irish broadsheet' so it may have been a different paper. My bad. I did
find a link to an article by a Mr. Eoghan Harris on the Irish Independent
site where he says: '...the Dublin Rangers Supporters Club which carries the
witty slogan 'Behind Enemy Lines' -- a phrase coined by a Dublin journalist
as a little joke'.

http://www.independent.ie/opinion/columnists/eoghan-harris/taoiseach-should-raise-rangers-banner-1311717.html

Is that source objective enough for you?

Enjoyed that, quite witty :~)

Now halfwit needs to inquire of the original journo "who the enemy are"

How the fuck am I supposed to know who his 'alleged' friends are? What I'm
not at all surprised about is that you evade the point. The bloke writes
for the Independent and says that the phrase 'Behind Enemy Lines', in
relation to The Dublin Loyal, was first coined by an Irish journalist. Is

It suggests on wikipedia that Eoghan Harris was an IRA associate. I'm a tad
suprised you'd quote an IRA man. Maybe you don't mind the IRA nowadays. And
doesn't it matter who Harris's friends are? if we are to assess his
objectivity. Would be good to have the original article. Apparently IRA man
Harris has form for making things up...maybe abit like yourself in this
context?

Apparently Harris was a leading Irish Republican in Official Sinn Fein
in the 1960s...never realised you liked those guys so much...

It does suggest that he may have been associated with members of the IRA
when he was a Marxist and involved with Irish republican politics. It also
states that he is now a critic of Sein Fein, has shunned Marxism
and was also a critic of the IRA when at RTE.

Well if Bertie Ahren would appoint him to the Irish Senate, and companies
like RTE and The Sunday Independent are willing to employ him, I think it's
reasonable to accept what he says regarding something as mundane as this.
Hehe...you seem absolutely desperate to tarnish this source Liam.

LOL. Grow some balls. I've given you a good source to back up what I had

Well you've given me a source, that's certainly true. Eoghan Harris is
an interesting old character. A controversial figure, one might say.
He was an official IRA man and now has become very critical of
republican leaders. He was active in the IRA and now he claims "Irish
republicans were engaged in a sectarian war of ethnic cleansing". It
is true that he was appointed to the Irish Senate by Bertie Ahern, the
recently resigned Taoiseach, whom has not had his own troubles to
seek. But somethings just don't add up. Harris was an IRA man, but
described the 1916 rising as perpetrated by "suicide bombers, I mean
suicide terrorists". He's also been described, according to wikipedia,
as "a hypocrite and inconsistent". He is critical of John Hume, the
noble peace prize winner. Indeed wikipedia says Harris claimed to have
won an award from the Berlin International Film Festival which was all
made up. All very curious. Makes one think that objectivity is not the
central issue here. More one of reliability. I've no evidence that
contradicts Harris. So I wouldn't go so far as to call him a liar, as
you called ZB on his RST assertion even though you presented no
evidence to refute him. But let's just say that "Behind Enemy Lines"
was coined by a Dublin journalist, although one really should caveat a
claim that Harris's word is gospel.

Overall your position here is also very curious. You said you read in
Rangers Media that the "Behind Enemy Lines" phrase was coined in the
Irish Times, but this has changed to someone told you that it was an
Irish broad sheet. And a search of the Irish Times web site finds no
mention of "Behind Enemy Lines" and "Dublin Loyal" together. Was your
claim that the quote was from the Irish Times without foundation? Four
days ago you never had a link, but it was only now that one appears.
Can you see why I'm slightly intrigued by your weak position here.
Did you actually spend four days searching the web for a link???

Your first lie didn't take long. Struggling aren't you Liam?

I in your pathetic and desperate looking atempt to rubbish the writer I
notice you ignore the fact that Bertie Ahern appointed him to the Irish
senate and he is respected enough to be employed by organisations such as
RTE and the Sunday Indepenent, amongst others.

On a side note, with your attitude it's a good job you weren't involved in

Angof, just ignore the wee fantasist.

It is obvious to all and sundry that his preconceived perceptions will
colour his views no matter what evidence is presented. He twists events to
fit his preconceptions rather than evidence. You could say he has a lot in
common with German Eugenics "scientists" in the 1930s in that respect. Just
put both of liams idnetities on your ignore list and leave it alone.
Remember, there is no reasoning with the deluded.

Do you have any evidence that this was in an Irish broadsheet? All Harris
suggests is that "Behind Enemy Lines" was coined by a Dublin journalist. No
mention of a particular newspaper, never mind a broadsheet. First you say it
was The Irish Times. No evidence for that. Then you say that it was coined
by a Irish Broadsheet. No evidence for that. What will your position be
next?

LOL I'm humiliated?!?...LOL...tbh it's mainly your changing position that
amuses me so. First it was The Irish Times that coined the phrase "Behind
Enemy Lines", then it was an Irish broadsheet. Just "my bad". Trouble is

Because it wasn't. I was told that by someone in a PM when I checked for
confirmation (he took a few days to reply BTW). Believe what you want as
far as that goes but I think The Irish Independant was a good source.

>You seemed happy to admit your other "bad" over the *Irish Times*

That's right. When I first heard of this a couple of months ago I thought
it was the Irish Times that the Dublin Loyal guy said first coined the
phrase. It may well have been but at the same time I may be remembering
wrongly and it was a different paper. Suffice to say I have provided a good
source, to back up my 'assertion', that all but the testicularly challenged
would be happy to accept. About time you grew up Liam.

So you don't have evidence to back up your claim that "Behind Enemy Lines"
was coined in an Irish *Broadsheet*. That's fine. People make assertions on
here and they don't have evidence to back them up. I guess you are no
different.

Playing with semantics, a sure sign you've lost it. I gave you the evidence
alright. You can squirm about in that gonadless fashion of yours but that
is plain for all to see. Grow up.

C'mon Angof just admit "it was in an Irish broadsheet" was your "bad". Your
evidence suggests it was coined by a Dublin journalist. No mention of
broadsheets. Or is saying you read something in a Rangers forum sufficient
evidence for any assertion now?

Yes we know about Harris's article in which it says the expression was
"coined by a Dublin journalist." We're more interested in Angof's position
here. First it was that the Irish Times coined the phrase. Then he
discovered the Irish Independent article, and his position became it was "an
Irish broadsheet" instead of the Irish Times. But he's got nothing to back
up the "broadsheet" claim, except the shite he reads in Rangers Media. What
he really needs is the original article, if it exists, but we aint never
gonna see that.

And the really funny thing is Angof was calling ZB a liar for repeating
things he read on Follow Follow, which couldn't be corroborated. Funny that.
Wonder what that makes Angof...

Yep...playing with semantics, a sure sign you've lost it.

I've given you evidence from an excellent source. The fact tht you tried
hard to rubbish that source to the point of lying is a good indicator of
that. Grow those balls Liam.

Yes it was.

No. That is a lie in it's self. You ran away from the thread where you
were making a cunt of that so I don't know why you bring it up here.

So you've given up on the assertion that "Behind Enemy Lines" was coined by
an "Irish broadsheet" then? It's just semantics now...LOL

Yes it is...a sure indicator that you are struggling (as was your stupid
ridiculing of the source that backfired so badly, you are wise to continue
to ignore that point). BTW...I made no 'assertion'...read the thread.
