Falkirk should have won today, but when the 12th man is the ref and a
bigger cheat than the other 11.
three penalty shouts, two that were stonewallers and a leg breaking
tackle all happened in front of the corupt official and falkirk got
nothing. any ref outside scotland and they would have won 3 or 4 nil
still i didnt see anything there to worry about.

They were lucky all right. One good thing - we are unlikely to hear Celtic
moaning about not getting decisions for at least a couple of weeks.

I just CAN'T believe we didn't get a penalty when McGeady was barged over.

Barged over? You mean when he flung himself between two players hoping he might
con the ref? No wonder McGeady was smiling when he ran back up the park having
avoided a caution for simulation.
As I said - I wouldn't expect to hear Celtic complaining about referees
decisions for a least a couple of weeks. And to think I was worrying about
Stuart Dougal refereeing.

You may be talking about a different incident than I was in my previous post.
The one I believe you may be talking about was IMHO obstruction and therefore a
foul but not a penalty kick.
But I agree a decision should have been made in favour of Celtic on that
occasion.

Think there was another occassion when Naylor got barged in the box,
looked like the Falkirk defender wasn't going for the ball. But
equally the one that the Falkirk player got kicked in the box looked a
definite one for me. I can understand why you might be disappointed by
the ref's performance. He looked flakey. But referee decisions, like
moaning about referee decisions, probably even themselves out in the
course of a season. Falkirk were unlikely to get something from today.
They passed the ball better than us in spells. Also you've got a
smashing stadium in progress there. Ignoring today, things look good
for your club at the moment.

The only thing I would object to in your summary was `in spells`. Very long
spells would be more appropriate.
Thanks for the sentiment. But the stadium is shite. If the 6000 seater rule had
been in place at the then Brockville could have be upgraded and a place that
teams would dread coming to as it was of old. As it is the present stadium is
souless, a wind tunnel and sadly typical of the meccano build modern built on
the cheap stadiums. The pitch on a good day however is the best there is.

The pitch was abysmal today, no place to play proper football. Any worse and
it would have resembled Ibrox on a good day.

Considering the weather it was quite remarkable it was on at all. There was
only one part of the picth that was really bad - at the SW corner.
But Falkirk didn't seem to find any difficulty in playing `proper football`. I
agree though that it didn't suit Celtic's punt up the park mentality - the
pitch must have been the reason they were like watching Rangers two seasons
ago.
