Barton sent down
Yes he has been sent down for 6 months for assault and affray.

Will he still be at Newcastle when he comes out?

RE: Joey barton

this thug shout spend his full 12 months in prison, yes 12 months + his 6
months. Yes 1 year in total.

from the sky website;"The judge jailed Barton for six months for assault
occasioning actual bodily harm and four months, concurrently, for affray."

Also for the better of the geordie faithful he should also be kicked out of
the club. He is a disgrace and should be booted out.

you could say that about a lot of footballers tbh, not many of them
are good role models these days.

Hmmm... "Forgive a man not seven times, but seventy times seven"? Someone said that in the good
book...

I do not condone Barton's behaviour and violence. But it dawned on me that actual killers have got
away with far less... like those who crash their cars into pedestrians, killing them. Young hoodie
thugs who stab innocent people and get away with a slap on the wrist... and suchlike. Where do they
stand? It is hard trying to sit in judgement and putting criminal acts in order of priority for
severity of punishment. I can name footballers who have been in criminal situations, but what is the
point? Every person deserves a fresh start after paying their debt to society and compensating their
victims.

Like peados you mean? Sorry, some people are born animals and for them
there is no hope of rehabilitation. Barton smashed the teeth out of a 15 yr
old ( apparently). whilst sitting on him. I class that as being like an
animal.

well no, he battered one bloke while straddling his chest, THEN
smacked the 16 year old kid, breaking his teeth

but yeah, the guy's a prick, should never have been given the chance
to wear the black and white.

Re: Barton sent down
Paedos... they are shit and deserve to be shot. I did not refer to them as you know very well.

I agree Barton is an animal and deserves to be kicked out of NUFC, but there are people worse than
him who have got away with practically lenient sentences. Names come to mind... like, who tormented
Justin Fashanu to commit suicide cos he was gay (and the person(s) was never tracked down)?
Collymore bashing Ulla black and blue? Remember racists Woodgate and Bowyer during their time as
Leeds players? Jody Morris' frequent nightclub fights during his Chelsea days? All (and more) are
criminals, but the severity of punishment never actually matched the severity of the crime. That is
what I am talking about.

Those above all, should be dealt with as an example. Sadly, the law does not
allow for that...

What worries me is how the fuck can someone drink 10 pints in one
night (not to mention the 5 bottles of beer) and still be counted as a
professional footballer these days.

Ok, in the past Tony Adams and Merson were getting ratted every night
but the game is a lot quicker now.

If thats how the rest of the team behave in their spare time, then
there's something seriously wrong!

What concernes me more is the money we will lose on him if we do kick
him out.
Maybe we could sell him to Leeds he would fit right in with that lot.
