Do us a flavour, Kev....
.....beat or draw with Chelsea, eh? Cheers! :)

The way Newcastle are playing these days, I don't think this is too much to
expect of you, either. I know you can do it.

I think we'll beat West Ham and Wigan and make our own destiny.....but it
would certainly be a nice cushion for us. I know it's the last things on you
fans' minds, but remember my kind words when it was going bad.....and my
congrats when you found winning ways ('toon are a team I like). ;)

well, after how west ham played today, they seem much improved on
recent weeks, so they will give you a good game.

i think we'll get a draw against chelsea, but frankly the idea of us
helping man united win the title makes me feel a little bit ill ;)

I'd prefer we lost by 18 goals just so you don't win the title! :)

At least they are a Northern club, and it gives someone who has been a
Newcastle fan for 43 years something to shout for in Europe every
year.
Also Ronaldo plays so well he is a pleasure for a true football fan to
watch in any game.(apart from our games) ;o)

Im sure the team will make the game competitve against chelsea (unlike
West Ham who did nothing today- apart from Ashton putting himself in
the shop window for lord frog).

TBH, this is one game i dont mind losing. I am still pissed off about
the 6-0 and 5-1against manure this year. hopefully we'll do 'em next
year.

Ronaldo is a show pony who only looks good against average teams. He
does nothing against decent teams and was quiet against barca for the
whole 180mins. Messi is a joy to watch and doesnt dive like that
winker!

My my, those thrashings did leave you bitter, eh?

Luckily, it looks like we need no favours to get our 17th title....10th
under Sir Alex. Only Wigan to play now.

bravo! 17th title?
35m for 2 defensive midfielders. 26m for Rooney, another 30m for
Tevez( when he signs perm. btw is he human cos he is one ugly fucker),
30m for chicken head Ferdinand, shall we go on? Teams can buy the
title you know, but hey, do you actually have the money or is it all
borrowed?
;-)

Not to worry, we will get our revenge next year, when you're desperate
for the win to catch chelsea/Arse at the top. im sure KK will have a
slap for fergie at the end of the game too!

LOL.....you have clearly bought all the media invented figures for half of
these players. Last off-season especially, we spent a fraction of what the
media claimed, truth be told. We also generated much of what we paid out on
the sale of players. We're no Chelsea....before Glazer we earned all we had
merely by good business sense, bringing in a talented manager and putting
long-term faith in him to make us successful. We had no advantage over any
other club to get in that position. Since Glazer, we have spent wisely and
shrewdly. Liverpool and Chelsea have spent far more in recent years.....yet
it is we who are the champions of the EPL. Blows the money advantage
argument to pieces...if that was all it took, we'd be eating Chelsea's dust.

I bet you spend more than us in this coming transfer season. So will you
accredit your league position next year to the money you spent...or Kevin
Keegan?

If you check again, you'll see that the media usually get the quoted
prices right. Teves was 10m for the 1st year loan and next season he
will cost you around 15-20m to sign permenantly. the rest i mentioned
did cost you the quoted prices. Rio 30, rooney 25m etc etc

How can you say you have no advantage over other clubs?! you and
liverpool probably spend the most last summer.and i think the year
before, you probably did spend wiser than others in getting Vidic and
Evra. but hey, fergie did gamble 30m on veron so he probably fluked it
by getting vidic.

We havent had the same quality players as the top 4, for the last 5-6
years. yes, we will have to spend this summer probably more than you
lot, but you already have a very decent sqaud and will only need a
couple in. If we do spend more than you, so what?!

So if you qualify for the fourth champs league place and possibly win it,
would you attribute the success to KK or dirty, filthy lucre? :/

Of course you would, because that is all that matters.....winning. But money
alone will never be enough to do it, Chelsea proved this last season (and
hopefully this season too) by not winning the title.

Its all about money and having a bit of luck on the way- oh and having
a good diver upfront to win you dodgy penalties when the team is
playing crap- does it sound familiar? ;-)

People keep going on about Chelsea bought the league blah blah... what
i want to know is, what are you lot doing that is different? Fair
enough winning is everything nowdays - but its only becasue the stakes
are so high.

20 years ago this wasnt the case beacsue there wasnt that much money
involved, unless we're talking about liverpool who were financed by a
rich family.

o well, can't accuse us of not trying, they just had an extra gear we
couldnt quite match at the start of the second half.

once smith came on, we just had no real outlet up front, just kept
coming straight back at our defence.

maybe if fergie hadn't completely broken him as a striker, we may have
done better ;)

oh well, good frist half, couple of ok chances in the 2nd, least we
weren't truly awful like we were in the games against your lot.

Do you remember when Real Madrid's tactics were to buy up every ready made
mega star in football and then sit back and think it was enough? You should,
it wasn't that long ago.....and what did it do for them? They won nothing
for a few years. It is never enough to throw money at the problem.

If you saw our lads train together, which I have on more than one occasion,
you would be amazed at the camaraderie that is instilled in them. They are
mates....not workmates. You could see it when they celebrated together this
evening. Sir Alex gives them a siege mentality....he'll use negative media
to enforce it, and he makes them bond. As someone put it in another thread
earlier on (a Chelsea fan no less), he makes these rich, young talented
individuals into a "band of brothers". Believe me, it has SO much more to do
with unparalleled management than it has to do with money alone.

Could any other management team have made Rooney and Ronaldo into great
friends after the media and ignorant Enguurland fans tried to make them hate
each other? I seriously doubt it. This is the magic ingredient we have. This
is the ingredient that has driven us to 10 titles and counting under Sir
Alex.

Remember when Ballack and Drogba were arguing over who took a free kick like
little children the other week? Well could you ever envisage United players
doing that? Chelsea are a collection of individuals with egos.....we are a
team.....a band of brothers. This is why we won the title and they never.
Abramovich has poured over a half a billion quid into them......but he'll
never give them what SAF gives us. THAT money cannot buy.

Come on, that Real team with Zidane and Ronaldo was great. Ronaldo got
a standing ovation after beating you at OT. Without spending big
( although most of their cash was from handouts by the Spanish royal
family) and breaking world transfer records, they wouldnt have had
those big names. They didnt win for a few years, the money dried up so
they sold their training complex to raise transfer funds and won the
league two years in a row- money helps a lot!

Changing managers every season definitely doesnt help and to have
Fergie in charge for so long is the main reason why your team has been
successful. Rooney and Ronaldo must have got a right old bollocking
from fergie to sort themselves out as he knew how important they are-
especially Ronaldo.

Before Roman's dirty cash, it was you lot and L'Arse winning pretty
much everything. Now chelsea have the power to compete so its natural
for others to dislike them and as a lot of people say "they bought the
league". But for me as a neutral, I think that chelsea going for
titles is good for the league as it makes it more competitive and
interesting (though I rather it was us competing for the league than
any of you three but doesnt look as though Mike Ashley will spend
anywhere near what the top 4 can afford).

Maybe KK will find the players we need on the cheap but I wouldn’t bet

Anyway, congrats on your win. Hope that next year there will be less
pressure from fergie on refs before big games, less diving by Ronaldo
& Drogba, more penalties against you lot and KK to get his revenge on
fergie next season ;-)
