Out of Toon
We're not even in the same sport, let alone the same ball park, as
teams like Arsenal, Man U, Chelsea, Liverpool, Everton, Portsmouth,
Man C, Derby (enough, Ed!)

Where the fuck is our next goal coming from?

God it so depressing again ....

ffs, i;m not being funny but we've played 3 games under KK, 2 of them
against one of the 2 best teams in the league (if not in europe) and
you're getting downbeat already?

i didn't see the game tonight, so can't comment, but we showed plenty
more attacking play on saturday in the first 45 mins than we'd shown
in the previous 6 months.

sorry, but i'm fucking sick of miserable pessimism.

we aren't that bad, i don;t care what people say, we're not an awful
side. we've got quality in the squad, it'll just take time to dredge
it out from the direness of allardyce's tactics and style.

we're not gonna be competing with man u, arsenal or chelsea overnight
ffs, so why moan when we lose to one of them?

what the merry fuck did you expect?

we put up a good show for an hour against arsenal on saturday, and
that's something to build on.

if luck had gone our way, we could've been 2 up at HT, but we weren't,
such is life.

getting all miserable and downbeat isn't the way to go, we've got boro
at the weekend, and if we play like we did vs arsenal on saturday,
then we should tank them.

keegan's been there 13 days.

thirteen.

days.

be realistic in expectations, and stop moaning when we lose to a good
side, because it's gonna happen for now, as we're just not good enough
at the minute.

the sooner people accept that and just let the club and the team get
on with the job in hand, the sooner we can start making some progress.

He's been there two weeks, he's got the same players as Allardyce (minus
Geremi, Beye, Faye, Martins, Emre and Viduka). We've played Arsenal twice.
Sorry, but what did you expect?

exactly. people are towing the national media line too easily, and
jumping on his back.

i really don't know what some people believed was going to happen, us
go to arsenal and thump them 11-0 twice in 4 days?

christ almighty.

Totally agree with this and your last post Chris.
I reckon most of the flack is pure green eyed crap.
They know we will do well and just can't cope with it.
sad bastards.

I wouldn't expect too much this season, and it woule be no surprise if
we didn't buy anyone before the window closes. I reckon Keegan will wait
until
he has the full squad back again after the African tournament, see who is
staying
and on the way out, and during the close season hopefully we will see the
sembelance
of a team taking shape to at least challenge for a European place next year.
Top four spot is still a couple of years away if everything goes ok.
