What the f*ck is going on
3 down after 10 minutes???

Big sam makes changes and brings in Taylor to play Right back

He plays Cacapa and Faye in the middle and plays Enrique at left back

So we play Taylor right back.... why, why, why... Sam must know he will
do his best but he is not a right back.

Cacapa and Faye not the best central defenders so why keep playing them
there, other players who can play there are fit?

Enrique... The only defender playing in his position we bought him for

N'Zogbia, Milner,

N'Zogbia playing down the left and Milner down the right..... NO we have
them switched, N'Zogbia down the right and milner down the left. What
the f*ck is going on

Butt and Barton.... normally I would not have a problem with them but
since Barton came into the team we aren't creating a thing.

Up front
Owen and Smith.... First time they have played together up front for the
toon.... Do they do training at Newcastle.

Overall a shocking, bullsh*t performance from every player on the pitch.
Cacapa more than any other but the whole team and management should
hang there heads in shame

That was fucked. Went from being happy that the game started at 11am here
(we haven't gone back to standard time yet) to wondering what the hell I
was watching. Piss poor is the only way to describe that and I have no
idea what was up with that formation.

I blame Sam for today's performace. 5 of the starting 11 were brought
in by him, they fucked up big time today! He played players out of
position and the only creative player- Nzogbia was pushed back to play
left back.
The first goal was a wonder striker and the other 2 were down to poor
defending.

My main worry is the lack of chances we create in the final third. He
left out Emre and martins and played shite manure reject
Smith.Football is played with feet not in the fuckin air! Faye kept
hoofing the ball up to Smith, he won nothing in the air and kept
fouling. owen and martins (when he came on) didnt get any decent
service and once the midfiled and upfront keep losing the ball, the
defence will eventually feel the heat and will make mistakes.

Sam looks more and more limited in his tactical know how with every
defeat.

I am embarrassed about the final result - Pompey cannot hardly believe their luck.
What was wrong with Given?

I hate to say it Phil but it's the newcastle jinx..... His groin is
playing up, if he needs surgery don't expect him back after 8 days... it
will be more like 5 to 6 weeks

I don't think a team that finished 9 points ahead of you
last year and has only lost two games this season should be
considered "lucky". They've drawn with ManU and Liverpool
and only conceded one to Chelsea - they are a good squad.

As for the Newcastle jinx, isn't he captain of Fulham now -
a team that has only conceded one more goal than Newcastle
despite having played more games. Maybe you could use him
back?

Lets face it - two of the Pompey goals were due to defensive shambles - see how easily Cacapa and
Faye were shoved aside. As for Pompey's last goal, either Taylor or Faye could have cleared it off
the line, but no. Their first win at St James since 1949... that speaks volumes about how crap our
team is rather than how good Pompey is in my opinion.

The problem lies with Fat Sam's selection. Rozenhal should have started alongside Taylor as centre
backs with Beye and Enrique either side of them. (Was Beye injured? Faye at right back then). Zoggy
and Milner should be in their rightful places. Barton should have been a sub - Smith or Emre in his
place. Martins (in the absence of Viduka) next to Owen. bring back Krul from loan and play him
instead of Harper.

One thing I noticed - we will never get much of Owen in the way Liverpool had. His best days seems
to be over now. I may be wrong, but then "lack of service" to Owen seems to be a feeble excuse. We
need a young and fast striker with height and strength who is hungry for both the ball and goals...
not relying solely on "service".

The warning signs were there from the Reading game, we were awful then
and pretty much the same yesterday. Sam bought old and slow defenders
like Beye and Cacapa. OK they were brought in for 2m but thats what
you get when you spend so little on two players. For now until Jan, i
think we need to play Faye-Rozenhal or Taylor-Rozenhal as the two CB
pairing.

Owen is a good goal scorer but relies on quality supply. Dont forget
he had Smith as a partner and with the addition of Martins, it didnt
get much better. Viduka makes a big difference upfront.
