There's a report going around that Sven is trying to get his board to 
buy Owen in the January transfer window. The fee would be about £15million?

If this is true (which I doubt) then would it be good news for Newcastle 
or bad?

Good £15million in the bank
Good £100,000+ a week wages off the books
Good He seems to be more concerned with England

Bad we would loose a proven goalscorer
Bad ?????

there seems to be very few bad points on owen going.... I guess we will 
have to wait and see

So the man who said Owen is only at Newcastle for the money wants to take
him to a club he would also clearly only join for the money? Strange
business :s

it's yet more fabrication by the tabloids.

if you believed them, allardyce and owen can't stand the sight of each
other, which i'd bet is a complete and utter load of BS. (and i don't
mean big sam)

do yourself a favour, don't read the sports sections of the papers,
because it's all utter garbage and i gave up on them a long time ago.

their only intent seems to create disharmony at our club and now
theyre having to resort to making up rubbish claims, with no facts to
back them up, presenting opinion as fact.

it's shit, lazy journalism and frankly, they should all be sacked.

Well, you would have to replace him with a proven 
goalscorer, the costs of which would undermine a lot of the 
"good".
