Ameobi upfront tonite in the CC ...
... thats that then. Another cup kissed goodbye. Maybe he'll come good
(one can only hope) but lets face it, how many goals does he score
against Premier League opposition? Lets hope that we can win with the
other 10 guys.
Why, oh, why can't we take this cup seriously for once ...

considering viduka and owen both took knocks on sunday, choice was
somewhat limited up front.
and with geremi and butt being rested, smith's being used in midfield
again.
so that leaves...hmm, no one else but ameobi.
so i don't quite get why you're saying we're not taking it seriously.
considering we played 48 hours ago, i'd say we've got pretty much the
best team we possibly could field out there.

I don't buy this "resting" idea when you need to win a game, you play
your best team (especially one that has done so well very recently).
They can rest after moving us on in the cup. As for Viduka, again is
he really unable to play for, say a half/60 mins to get a goal or two
(then bring Smith on for him having started Smith on the bench).
Ameobi is simply crap, a half fit Viduka is better. But I suppose
we'll see and I can appreciate your logic, its just that I really do
want the Toon to get a trophy ...
