beye and faye in...solano and huntington out?!?!?!
ok, the two in's i can understand...and to a certain extent, solano's
exit...
unlike dyer, he's not a shithouse waster, and he does want to be near
his kids (ok he shouldnt have fucked about on their mum in the first
place, but c'est la vie)
but
huntington
sold
SOLD
SOLD?!?!?!?!
wtf is that about? not being funny, but the kid may not have been prem
quality, but he deserved at least a chance to prove BSA wrong, imo.
one of the few bright sparks from last season, and he gets sold to
leeds.
poor twat.

Re: beye and faye in...solano and huntington out?!?!?!
Would that be because Huntington is demanding regular a playing spot? I do not think Sam has
anything against him. We can see that from the fact that both Dyer and Nobby wanted to go to be near
their families and Sam is unwilling to keep "unhappy" players? ... so maybe Sam's adopting the same
attitude towards Huntington as he cannot guarantee him a regular first team spot? I agree Huntington
was one of the bright sparks in our team last season.

nah, i don't think it's that.
he's still young, doesn't strike me as a stroppy kind of player at
all.
if he wanted first team footy, he could have easily just sent him out
on loan for the season.

Do you really think he would've got into the team with all these new
defenders around? I personally dont think he is quick, strong enough
to be a top top defender. Hes positioning isnt great either (although
he played LB for GR last year rather than CB). Still, he isnt in the
same class as Taylor and there are maybe 3-4 others ahead of him and
Ramage.
Compared to previous years, i feel more relaxed when the team is
defending and under pressure. If we are to improve on league position
and qualify for Europe and do well in the cups, then we need quality
all over the pitch and i dont think Huntigton will improve that much
to push for a 1st team place. Hes not exactly as good or even near as
good as someone like Taylor or Micah Richards.

he's still only 18.
not many 18 year old defenders are going to be on a similar level to a
31 year old who has won 5 league titles on the trot.
i don't see the logic in selling him frankly, he looked like he had
potential and should have been sent out on loan more than anything.

Sam always went for tried and tested players at Bolton. yes he
might've got better but if a footballer has genuine talent, age doesnt
come into the equasion.
Sergio Ramos is a good example of that. He is not even 20 (i dont
think) and he was a regular for Real last year.
Sam probably saw enough of him at training and made a decision. He
might come to regret selling him but with the cover we've got at the
back now, even if he went on loan and came back, he probably wouldnt
get more than a few games.
Nzogbia just signed a 5yr deal, that must've been a deciding factor in
selling Huntigton.
