In trouble with the Coppers....
Well, the latest and greatest news in the soap opera that is Newcastle
United is that we were one of 3 clubs and two private homes raided by the
fuzz this morning with something to do with anti-corruption issues
relating to shareholders etc....Bloddy hells bells! It never rains but
it pours.....why is it that we have been the only club named? Could it be
the other two clubs are based in london and the media don't want to let
people know that something is wrong with those clubs but the Toon is fair
game??? The media in the country never fail to amaze me at the depths of
depravity they will go to in order to get a story or sell a paper!

For once we don't seem to be getting singled-out as the BBC have said
the other two clubs are Glasgow Rangers and Portsmouth. Now there's a
fairly obvious connection between us and Rangers, but Portsmouth?
Maybe Lua Lua? Can't think of anything / anyone else?

my thoughts exactly.
the statement from the club said the club itself was not under
investigation, which leads you to believe some past dealings may be
the focus...
and my first thoughts were "hmm, now who was it who bought players
from rangers and pompey when he was in charge?"
makes you wonder just exactly why kenny shepherd was informed he was
no longer needed at the club as well (not that anyone seems to know
exactly what the fuck his job was anyway)

And Andy Griffith.
Methinks it is our dear Mr Souness and Fat Fred's son who are the central focus of the
investigation. but then I may be wrong...

Yup, but then again you can't tell me no one else thought there was
something going on paying a club 9.5 million for a player who signed on a
free transfer 5 months earlier. And it just so happens that it was Mr
Souness' bossom buddies he was dealing with at rangers. I always smelled
a problem with that one. Didn't think much of teh Faye transfer at the
time although there is the question if Souness was payed to take him :)
Will be watching closely on this one as its sure to be hilarious!
