Roeder
Didn't like the allegded whinging remarks of Glen re.the money Sam has
to spend.
Seem to remember he had a fair whack[17 million on strikers] but never
spent much on defence where as Sam seems to have seen the problem we
all knew was there.
Glen,Souness and SBR did not seem to grasp this or went for crap
and,in Souness's case, buying Boomie for an exorbitant fee.
Saddens me that Glen is going down this route.
It was in the Sun so it must be true!

Reckon Newcastle may surprise a few people next season. He has bought
wisely at the back, but you's still need another one or two good
defenders....

I agree...this outburst by Roeder just reeks of sour grapes to me and he
has gone down a long way in my estimation now. He had time, he had money
and proved he could not be trusted to progress the club forward. His
tactics were all wrong and he wasn't strong enough to drop big name
players despite bad form or lesser players playing better. How many times
last season did youngsters come in and do a great job and as soon as
people like Duff, Carr, Babayaro and Parker were fit they were straight
back in the side and we then went on to lose games?? Shame Glen, shame!
