Graham Souness
So now Souness is saying he never liked his time at the Toon!
Well the feeling is mutual,he came without many winning streaks to his
credit,he spent loads of cash on crap players and others like boumsong
that seemed iffy and never played any type of attractive football. His
record was dismal and his payoff is obtaining money by false
pretences.
He was a top player, top manager he aint.
In fact I may welcome Bellamy back so a good manager can show him how
to get the best out of players.
He could not cut it plain and simple, good riddance.

I've never worked out how that particular myth got around, and why so many
people fall for it (other than stupidity). I don't know any Newcastle fans
who would rather "lose 6-5 every week than win 1-0 in a sluggish match" or
who would rather "splash the transfer budget on one exciting player", and
I'm guessing I know more Newcastle fans than you. OK, I'd rather watch a 5-
4 win than a 1-0 win, but then who wouldn't? And I'd rather watch Michael
Owen or Alan Shearer than Jonathan Stead, but again, who wouldn't?

Well the problem is that we were losing 1-0 all the time and playing crap
football to boot. between Souness sayign that a lot of money needs to be
spent because all he was given was money to plug gaps and Scott Parker
sayign that the fans have unrealistic expectations we are a club seriously
in need of help! What a load of Bollocks! 50mill pounds is a lot more
than just gap plugging cash - maybe if he hadn't wasted 10mill on boumsong
to line the pockets of rangers mates with or 10mill on Luquye cause he had
a good game once for Spain and 17mill on Owen to simply try and sell
season tickets then we could be in a much better position than we
currently find ourselves. For that money we could have had the likes of
anelka, Johnson, and a few decent defenders - look what Big Sam has done
so far - 3 possible players in 1 out and a net profit on the deal.
Another 2 defenders tipped to join soon for a combined total of 3.5mill
and a left sided attacker being chased for a knockdown 1.5mill and we
have built the solid foundation needed. Then he can splash cash to get a
few flair players in at a later date. As for his handling of Bellamy -
any fool could have come in a had a public shouting match then sold him
for less than half of what he was worth. Real managers know how to

Sure he enjoyed the pay cheques, mind. On the otherhand, must be hard
trying to please a bunch of fans who would rather splash the transfer budget
on one exciting player and lose 6-5 every week than win 1-0 in a sluggish
match.

Owen or Alan Shearer than Jonathan Stead, but again, who wouldn't?

complete load of bollocks.

Real managers know how to
handle ego players by man-management not seeing who can shout the loudest!

Well, let's ask, shall we? Anyone here would rather Newcastle splashed the

I didn't even want Owen, thought we needed to stengthen the squad with
3 or 4 players, instead we blew ?17m on one. Had Souness been
competent, he could have built a decent squad with the ?50m he wasted.
