Dyer
http://football.guardian.co.uk/News_Story/0,,2066513,00.html

Spurs used to get our left overs, now they're ahead of us in the
league and transfers! What next,Roy Keane will try to sign Oba.

Does anyone know who might've bought these shares?! The value of the
club has gone up by 15%

Re: Dyer
Dyer gives us much needed pace in attack and I can't see us getting a
suitable replacement. Readings Steve Sidwell certainly isn't suitable.

I hope we aren't going to spend the summer signing bargain buys and cutting
down the wage bill etc.

The wage structure at the club is ridicules at the mo and needs to be
addressed. The likes of Dyer, Parker, Emre and Duff are not 70k a
week players, they should be happy with 30-40k. Especially Duff who
hasnt done a thing for us in a year.

Looks as though Shrek and GR will be going for cheap/ free buys. I
dont think they will spend 15m on a player this summer. If they do, I
hope they invest the cash for a very very good CB or a CF, if we play
Owen and Martins upfront then no high balls as they'll win nothing in
the air. And by saying that i really hope we dont waste 7m to get
Crouch.

dyer isn't going to spurs, you really shouldn't believe everything you
read on the web.

even traditionally reliable publications, such as the guardian and the
times are becoming rumour-whores just like the tabloids, mainly
because a lot of them seem to just copy and paste stories they see on
other news sites these days.

it's just lazy journalism.

Its probably all bullshit but I can see changes in the midfield area
for next year. Butt, Parker and Emre will stay, NZogbia, Duff and
Millner for the wide positions and if we do get Sidwell then i think
someone from the middle of the Park will have to leave.
The saquad isnt balanced at the moment, we've got too many midfielders
and not enough cover at the back- especially fullbacks.

Me. I sold a couple of things on Ebay and now I'm using the profits to get
the fat fucker out of St James'. There'll be changes when I'm in charge, I
can tell you. First off, a massive fuck off statue of Joe Strummer in the
car park, then I'm going to hang that useless twat of a DJ from the flag
pole right in the middle of his "dangers of passive smoking are well know"
speech (anyone know why they think it's better to smoke in the concourse
than the ground? I mean, it's not like it's not ventilated is it? Have they
not noticed that huge hole in the roof?), season tickets will be 100 quid
if I like you, 1000 if I don't (and the seats in the 1892 club will face
slightly sideways so it gets really fucking uncomfortable) and there'll be
free alcopops, a good kicking and a free trip to Pilgrim Street police
station for anyone who wears a Helly Henson jacket and a Henri Lloyd top.
Oh, and I might buy a decent defence if I get round to it. Or I'll blow it
all on whores and fat cigars, I haven't decided yet. Anyway, the pub's
calling. I'm off.

at the same time i want rid of shepherd and his cronies, i don;t
really want us 'selling our soul' to the highest bidder like
liverpool, man u, etc have done recently.

actually, it saddens me to say, but the ideal takeover scenario seems
to have been sunderland's. at least niall quinn cares about the club
and doesnt just see it as a cash-cow.

Yeah, but he's an annoying cunt, for want of a better cunting word, that
likes to use hundreds of words when half a dozen would cover it.
Thank fuck he's no longer a football pundit. All I want now is for the big
nosed scouser twat to get the sack from $ky sports saturday. He really gets
on my last nerve so he does. And talk about biased.......I'll need to stop
now before my blood hits 100 degrees. And why's my keyboard missing that
little circley degree thing?

haha, that tosser Gonzo has been gettin on my nervers since he got the
boot from liverpool and started commenting crap for Sky and from BBC,
Mark Lawrenson!

Talkin of everything to do with liverpool and everton, why do teams
give soft goals to Manure?! That win yesterday for them was a joke!
Phil fuckin Neville should never again wear an Everton shirt for that
OG.
Why the fuck was he standing next to Fergie at the end of the game?!
He should've ran down the the tunnel at the end, not stand next to his
old boss and get a pat on the back from that purple nose wanker!
If we had a fraction of the luck that Manure 've had this year, we
could've finish in the top 6. Then again I think the refs and the
media are biased in favour of the scum!

If you're going to post on this newsgroup (and hey, I don't believe in
censorship. Except for Tories, obviously), then it might be an idea to drop
the use of "United" when you're talking about some team from down south.
Gets right on my tits.

The better you play!? wait till Wed and see how they'll out play and
boss your team ( just like they did at your ground untill Gattuso was
taken off). Everton gifted 4 soft as shite goals to you lot and i can
remember others doing the same against your team. stand off, let you
knock the ball about as soon as they go a goal behind. Villa and
Boro( the 1st two games) did the same- just didnt fight against you
lot.
But its a different game when you're in a real fight, like against
Portsmouth and us. If thats what u call playing better then you will
get found out when you play teams who show more bottle for the full
90mins.

And Neville was doing what all the Everton and United players did
> and that was to shake everyones hand.

Rubbish! if i had just scored a dodgy own goal, as soon as the game
ended i would run to the changing rooms apologise to my team mates and
the manager. Not stand around make a scene and get a pat on the back
from Fergie! All he had to do was use his left foot and clear the
fuckin thing away.

Yeah, but to be fair to Fergie you can't have opposing managers saying
that different rules get applied to different teams, I mean that is
bringing the game into disrepute. It would be like a ManU manager
saying another team (for the sake of argument Leeds) would lie down to
another team (e.g. Newcastle) simply because they had a testimonial
arranged with one of their long-serving players...... oh... hold on a
minute!

ManU fans in particular seem to have very short memories - all this
shite Moronio is coming out with about refereeing decisions is an
carbon-copy of what Ferguson used to say about Liverpool. Of course
this was before they started their (well deserved) winning run so most
ManU 'fans' won't have been following them then.

Mourinhio is whinging no stop but i dont think its as simple as he
makes it sound. He is taking the attention from the team's
performances. He doesnt lie like Fergie does ( ie O'shae's challenge
on the boro player, when he said his player got to the ball 1st.
Replays showed that he clearly didnt).

OK they have won a lot in the last 10 years but they were lucky to
have such good talented players all coming through the youth ranks,
all at the same time and when they done the treble, they were very
very lucky, especially in the final against Byern. The last two seasons
they weren't competing with Chelsea and to say only Jose has spent all
that cash is wrong! At least he has won 5cups in 2.5 years!

How much did Houlier waste on players? Benitez is doing the same with
his spanish imports, Fergie done the same. Chelsea had to spend to get
the team to the level that they are on at the moment. I dont think
they'll spend 50m a year on players anymore, maybe 1 or 2 players a
year at most.

Sod all these lot tbh, Im more concered about our situation, did
anyone think Owen was fit to play?! What a soft goal to give away when
i thought we were bossing the game in the first half. Will Owen and
Martins combo work? What about Shola, is he going to score goals like
he did early on this season?

And talk about biased.......I'll need to stop

haha, that tosser Gonzo has been gettin on my nervers since he got the
boot from liverpool and started commenting crap for Sky and from BBC,
Mark Lawrenson!

What a shame your so called "best player in the world" got hustled out
of the game by a bunch of geriatric crocs and was totally out-classed
by Kaka.
