Re: phew
I said to my dad before the penalties began that i didn't fancy Johnson
taking one but i did fancy
Hart making saves. Thank fcuk for Joe Hart.

I thought Johnson got more nervy 'cos the ref wouldn't pass the ball to him.

Ched Evans took the best penalty IMHO.

Thankfully, Jo had been taken off. The new Samaras?

Johnson didn't look right walking from the centre circle, in fact he
hasn't looked right since he was injured last year.

Probably still jet-lagged, you have to cut the lad some slack and give him
time to settle in. Don't know what everyone else's excuse was though, god
they were shit (except magnificent Joe Hart).

Sadly I agree. I'm hoping it's down to his protracted contract negotiations.
Micah looked very average while his were ongoing, but he has burst back into
life again.

I thought Richards had a really poor match. Especially first half
where he over-hit every single pass. Much better when dropped back
into defence. Mind you, Ben Haim hasn't convinced me yet that he is
better than we had, I hope it is a fitness thing and he gets better.

Re: phew
Before playing all of the bronze medal match last Friday he had played
just fifty-odd minutes
in the previous four games.
I was surprised MH started with him given that Sturrridge would be more
up to speed and on a high after his performance last weekend.
I know we're short up front, but for me Jo needs to get a lot more hours
training in with the squad and then do
well coming off the bench before he starts games.
Throwing him in the deep end when he's not up to speed yet could be
detrimental.

Yes, yes. Definitely. A complete waste of space. I suggest we all get
right on his back straight away and let out a big sigh every time he does
something the slightest bit wrong. That's definitely the best course of
action with our £19m record signing who's played TWO half games for us, the
first with little or no match preparation, the second three days after
returning from a country 8 hours ahead of us. Obviously he must be reminded
how shite he is at every available opportunity. If he's worth £19m, he must
have super-human qualities and not need any time to adapt to living in a new
country, learning a new language, playing with new players etc. Let's show
him NO MERCY. Let's ring in to the talk shows and moan en masse about him.
Let's talk ourselves into another THIRTY-TWO YEARS without a fucking
trophy...

I'd agree with you about Ireland, but some around here would accuse me
of picking on him.

Not sure - but I hope so. I won't mention Samaras again though, to be safe.
