£9m.
In three seasons at Chelsea he made 43 league starts with 39 as a sub
scoring 4 goals.

GET IN!

Assuming Kompany plays as well as he did in his first match 3 of the 4
midfield places now pick themselves, which means Elano, Johnson, Ireland and
Fernandes battling for one remaining spot (maybe Fernandes is understudy to
Kompany though). If we got Thiago Neves too that would make another one
vying for that space.

I reckon, with the possible excpetion of proper left-sided defensive cover,
we're pretty much sorted now.

Great business - we made £12 million pound profit on a player who
originally cost us nothing and now he's back! He's still only 26 years
old as well - we must have one of the youngest sides in the league and
one that hopefully will only get better. Mark Hughes is the man for
me, never mind Frank. Players want to come/stay because him, although
Frank did pull of the master stroke of bringing Hughes here in the
first place! First Gary Glitter comes back, now SWP. Who's next?
