New kit
http://www.mailonsunday.co.uk/sport/football/article-1029872/Picture-special-Hughes-City-boys-Richards-Petrov-Benjani-unveil-new-kit.html?ITO=1490

(N.B. - I would never go anywhere near the Mail, I just found the link.)

Looks okay. The away kit in particular looks smart, but it also looks like
the kit of a team getting beaten away from home.

MCFC Customer Charter

"All replica home strip designs will have a minimum lifespan of two seasons
with away strip designs having a minimum lifespan of one season, subject to
sponsorship contracts."

http://dps.twiihosting.net/mcfc/doc/content/doc_502_129.pdf

Seems that proper behaviour is giving way to profit at City these days.

Even worse than that, what on earth are you doing reading the mail, Mr
Cakey?

The splash page on the website is quite amusing, it shows what the shirt
would look like on a typical fat lad.

Re: New kit
What a surprise, yesterday they announced an extension to the Thomas
Cook deal, which gets round the two year lifespan/subject to contract line.
I'm sat here wondering if i had anything to do with the changes though.
This time last season i emailed City complaining about the insipid shade
of the new home shirt, i told them that they should decide on one shade
of blue and that for me it should be the one Colin Bell is wearing on
the cover of his biography. Newcastle don't seem to have a problem
redesigning black and white stripes, so why should City use many
different shades of blue.
I also said they would find favour with the fans if they would keep the
black and red stripes as the away shirt and change the third kit or if
they want to have changes to the away kit, keep going back to the red
and black with every other change.

How so? If neither the sponsor nor the shirt manufacturer has changed, why
is there a need to break the 2 year committment?

If you think that someone actually read and considered what you had to say
then you've got more confidence in City than I have. Nice designs though.
Lord knows why they didn't adopt that away shirt design years ago, it'll
sell by the bucket load.

A black man in a City shirt, I thought it was probably you...

Re: New kit
I'm not trying to justify it, i'm just considering how they might.
