I Can See The Logic
If a charming, smiling, friendly manager has been judged a failure, go
for the opposite.
Seriously, from what i've seen of Mark Hughes i'd say i don't like him,
but i'm willing to put that aside and base my opinion of him from now on.
I don't see him as a long term appointment though, Baconface has said
he's going in two years, i suspect Hughes has his eye on that job and is
grateful for the opportunity to show what he can do when he's got money
to spend.

I'm really relieved that this is sorted out and Hughes is a good catch,
although I can't see myself cheering his name. There have been loads of
games in recent years where the team looked like it just couldn't be
bothered, you can't see that happening much under Hughes. As you say, if
Taggart hangs up his bacon in 2 years time, the situation could get
interesting. Pity because we need to keep a good manager for the long term,
and Hughes is the right age to do that.

Interesting to see if Dunnie Monster changes his mind now.

At least the manager has been sorted out sooner than last year..

Any chance of us getting Bentley on board now ?

Re: I Can See The Logic
No doubt we will lose him when his 3 year contract is up (about the time
taggert will go) but I think he will be good for us.

Or maybe he is just coming here to get closer to the swamp ! ;o)

Hopefully he will instil some grit and steel into what is a lightweight team
who were pushed around too easily for my liking 2nd half of this season.

Even allowing for the circumstances at the time,I don't think a mark Hughes
team would collapse as we did against Boro ?

This could be a good appointment for us ? (never thought old Eyore would say
that about an ex red !!)

Yes, I expect to see him on the touchline holding a sub-machine gun.

Glad I shouted loads of abuse at him last time, looks like those
opportunities are gone for now...
